Starfield - How to Dock Your Ship

You can dock your ship by opening up the scanner and hovering over the space station in Starfield. Learn more on what buttons to press to open up the scanner and to dock your ship!

Target the Space Station

Starfield - Ship Scanner

Fly close to a space station or a ship you want to dock and press the E key on the PC or the LB button on the console to target it. This opens a new prompt where you can hail the space station. Around 500m or closer, the option to dock should also appear.

How to Use the Scanner

Dock on the Space Station

Starfield - Dock Button Prompt

After opening your scanner, look for the space station on the planet you wish to dock your ship on. When you hover your crosshair over the space station, a button prompt will appear to indicate you can dock there. Press and hold ''R'' on PC, or ''X'' on console to dock your ship and enter that area.
