The Missing Weapon Assignment Error appears if you have not reached the maximum 3 weapons that a ship can have in Starfield. Read on to see the missing weapon assignment error explained and to learn how to fix the error.

Starfield - Missing Weapon Assignment Error

If you're getting the Missing Weapon Assignment Error in the shipbuilder mode, it means your ship has spare slots for weapons. Ships have 3 slots where weapons can be assigned so they can be used during space combat.

Even if this error appears during ship customization, you are not required to fix it. A ship can be functional even if it has less than 3 weapons assigned.

Install Weapons to the Ship

Starfield - Install Weapons

If your ship has less than 3 weapons installed, head to the weapons tab to add a ship weapon you can use and afford and install it in your ship.

After installing weapons, head to the flight check menu and weapons tab. Check for unassigned slots. These are free slots where a weapon can be assigned so it can be used during ship combat.

Fill Unassigned Entries

Choose the slots marked unassigned to see the list of weapons currently installed in your ship. Choose the weapon that has not been assigned yet.
