Xenochromatic Ball Octopus

Xenochromatic Water Spout Ability

The Ball Octopus ability allows you to pout out a strange water-colored energy. Hold the skill button to aim and spout water continuously. Unlike other Xenochromatic Abilities, you can use the Ball Octopus' ability even on land!

This will help you solve puzzles such as Potential Energy Orbs, Contaminated Bacterial Mats, and Dew Bubbles to progress thru challenges and quests!

Xenochromatic Jellyfish

Xenochromatic Bomb Ability

The Jellyfish ability allows you to throw hat-shaped bombs that explode at your command! Hold the skill button to aim, then let go to release the bomb. Press the skill button again after releasing the bomb to make it explode.

The ability allows you to destroy debris and activate mechanisms in difficult-to-reach areas.

Xenochromatic Armored Crab

Xenochromatic Armor Ability

Absorbing the Armored Crab's abilities will grant you an Amored Shield as well as the ability to launch shockwaves. This ability allows you to destroy debris and clear barriers.

You can also absorb attacks from Giant Crabs and Bullet Barnacles and shoot it back at them by pressing and holding this ability when being attacked.

Xenochromatic Hunter's Ray

Xenochromatic Water Blade Ability

The Hunter's Ray ability allows you to slash weak sections of seagrass with sharp Water Blades. Some seagrass will have glowing weakpoints that you must cut down quickly to prevent them from growing back again.

Xenochromatic Blubberbeast

Xenochromatic Sonar Wave Ability

Obtaining the Blubberbeast ability allows you to emit pulsing Sonar Waves around you. You can use this skill to display certain objects and discover invisible objects underwater.

Use Normal Attack on Underwater Creatures

Press and Hold to aim for a specific creature, or simply press the Normal Attack button to snag a nearby Xenochromatic Fontemer Creature's ability!

Your ability will be indicated by the floating symbol floating around the character's head. You can only use these abilities underwater, and for a limited amount of time.
