Underwater Currents in Fontaine

Underwater Currents are specialized currents located underneath the waters of Fontaine that can propel your character towards the direction it's facing.

You can use these currents while diving and swimming underwater to get to certain locations faster!

Fontaine Release Date and Map Guide

You Can Only Move Around to Some Extent

After entering one of the Underwater Currents, you will not be able to leave it until you reach its end. However, you can move around inside it as you go with the flow.

Some are Found During Quests!

Genshin - Aqueous Tidemarks

There are some Fontaine quests, including World Quests like Ann of the Narzissenkreuz and Aqueous Tidemarks, where you can ride currents for longer! Some of these currents will take you through drowned ruins and into a new area.
