Genshin - Electro Element Guide

Electro is the lightning Element in Genshin Impact and is 1 out of 7 Elements in the game. Check out this guide to learn about Electro's Strengths, Weaknesses, Electro Elemental Reactions, and Electro Characters in the game.

What is the Electro Element?

Genshin's Lightning Element

Electro is the lightning Element in Genshin Impact, with Inazuma being the designated Electro Region and Raiden Shogun as the Electro Archon.

Electro Status Effect

Electro on Characters

Electro being applied to your character has no negative effects on its own. However, this also means that Electro Elemental Reactions can also affect you (like the knockback effects of Overloaded) if the enemies have elemental attacks.

Electro Aura

Genshin - Electro Aura Engulfing Storm
Name Engulfing Storm
Effect Constantly drains energy.

Engulfing Storm drains your character's energy and comes from a Leyline Disorder or an Enemy Aura. This debuff can only be removed by using a cleanse ability or applying a different element (except Hydro) to yourself.

Electro Resonance

High Voltage

Affected by Hydro for 40% less time. Superconduct, Overloaded, Electro-Charged, Quicken, Aggravate, or Hyperbloom have a 100% chance to generate an Electro Elemental Particle (CD: 5s).

Electro Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths, Weaknesses, and Immunities

Best For Hydro Elemental Armor
Second Best For Pyro Elemental Shields
Cryo Elemental Shields
Hydro Elemental Shields
No Effect On Electro Elemental Shields
Electro Elemental Armor

Electro is very strong against Hydro Elemental Armor. It's not the best against Pyro, Cryo, and Hydro Elemental shields, but does a good enough job to be the second best.

Elemental Shields need to be completely removed to do damage to an enemy, while Elemental Armor does not need to be completely removed to do damage to an enemy.

Shields used by Mitachurls don't have to be destroyed either as long as you hit the opponent's body.
