How to Unlock An Expected Lie

Complete the Prerequisites

Quest Unlock Requirements
	An Expected Plan

You need to complete An Expected Plan to unlock An Expected Lie. The quest will automatically start once you complete that World Quest.

An Expected Lie Quest Location

Go to Morte Region

An Expected Lie is located at Morte Region, in the nation of Fontaine. The quest automatically starts after you find the shipment's delivery point during the An Expected Plan quest.

An Expected Lie Walkthrough

Head to Nacker's Hideout

Nacker's Hideout is located at the southwestern corner of Fort Charybdis Ruins. Use the nearby Fort Charybdis Ruins waypoint to teleport near the destination.

Dive Underwater to Reach the Sealed Door

The hideout is located underwater, so you need to dive down until you can find a sealed door. Paimon will make a comment of the sealed door once you reach its location.

Open the Sealed Door

Head south from the sealed door to hit the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus with your normal attack to get its power. This allows you to solve the puzzle and open the sealed door.

Hit the orange crystal on the right side to turn it into a blue crystal. This lowers the gaps around the door frame, allowing you to move the square block.

Press and hold the Ball Octopus' skill on the pedestal to move the square block all the way to the bottom-right corner.

Quickly hit the blue crystal so it turns into an orange crystal. This activates the gap so that the square block stays on the bottom-right corner.

Find Nacker and Defeat the Incoming Meka

Enter the sealed door and watch the two cutscenes. Defeat the Server-Type Gev003 and Nacker in the fight to proceed to the next objective.

Rejoin Lemarcq

Use the Erinnyes Forest, Fontaine waypoint to teleport to the next destination. Head up to the house on the hill and talk to Lemarcq.

Report Back to the Fontaine Research Institute

Teleport to the Fontaine Research Institute and talk to Choiseul to complete the quest.
