Complete Unfinished Comedy

The Both Brains and Brawn quest can be unlocked after completing the Unfinished Comedy quest series. You can activate the quest by exploring around The Fortress of Meropide.

Both Brains and Brawn Walkthrough

Go to the Pankration Ring

Go talk to Genevieve. She'll ask to look for Poiret, who can be found talking to a guard.

Talk to Roussimoff

Head over to the lift in the lower left area of The Fortress of Meropide and go to the Pankration Ring to talk to Roussimoff who can be seen training.

Pankration Ring Match 1

In this quest, you will have to direct Genevieve and Poiret to use their skills and defeat enemies. Go all out on the guard to quickly end the match.

Break the wooden boxes and recover the props

Head over to the Rag and Bone Shop to talk to Goncourt. He'll ask you to destroy the wooden boxes around the room to collect the props.

Most boxes can be easily found by climbing the platforms nearby. After that, head back to the Pankration Ring and talk to Rousimoff to direct another fight

Pankration Ring Match 2

Use Genevieve's Skill against the Fatui Skirmisher - Cryogunner Legionnaire to break the Cryo Shield.

When the Cryo Shield is down, use Poiret's Skill followed by Genevieve's to trigger a strong Melt reaction!

Demonstrate throwing techniques to the pair

After the second match, talk to Genevieve and then head over to the marked area in the Rift of Erosion. There, you will show the pair how to throw objects by hitting Storage Drums.

Your Normal Attacks will be replaced by a throwing attack, use it to aim and attack the 12 Storage Drums.

Go to the Pankration Ring the next day between 18:00 - 22:00

Adjust the time to the next day between 18:00 - 22:00 and then talk to Roussimoff again to start the third match.

Pankration Ring Match 3

At the beginning of the match, have Poiret use his skill followed by Genevieve's. When it starts to rain, prioritize on using Poiret's Skill to Freeze the enemy so Genevieve can capitalize on it using Pyro.

After the match, look for Genevieve again and then go to the production zone

Demonstrate the destructive power of Pneumosia annihilation reactions to Poiret

Collect the Pneuma Blocks and attack the first and third mechanisms. Poiret will attack the second mechanism.

After completing the puzzle, adjust the time to the next day between 18:00 - 22:00 once more and then talk to Roussimoff to begin the final match.

Pankration Ring Match 4

Go with the usual strategy of using Poiret's Skill followed by Genevieve's to not only trigger reactions, but also use their new Pneumosia attacks and weaken the Clockwork Mekas.

Use the same strategy against fighting Rousimoff to finish the final Pankration Ring Match.

Defeat the clockwork meka

Finally, defeat the Clockwork Meka enemies to complete the quest!
