Better performing Electro-Charged Swirl driver especially at C6, comparable to C6 Sucrose at C0, and a direct upgrade against C0 Mizuki. He is also free-to-play friendly who often only requires Ororon (who's currently on the same banner as him), and another Hydro like Xingqiu. He also has the benefit of being able to use Normal Attacks during his Elemental Skill, allowing his teams to use characters like Yelan or Fischl who are superb in Electro-Charged. In terms of utility, his teamwide healing and scalings are low, so it might present survivability issues especially when running with Furina. In addition, his Elemental Burst pull-in is also quite weak and less reliable against heavier opponents. |

Ifa Ascension and Talent Materials
| Strengths | |||
|---|---|---|---|
|
• Good Swirl unit that has his niche in Electro-Charge teams, being able to increase both his own Swirl damage and Electro-Charge itself. • Utilizes Normal Attacks during his Nightsoul's Blessing state, allowing him to proc effects such as Xingqiu and Yelan's Elemental Bursts. • Has access to flight, allowing him to bypass most melee attacks while in Nightsoul's Blessing. This also extends to making exploration more convenient for players. • Brings sustain potential to the team with his on-hit healing from his tonicshots. This also has the added benefit of healing off-field characters. |
|||
| Weaknesses | |||
|
• Due to his passives particularly buffing Swirl and Electro-Charge, he does not truly contribute to a team's raw damage, and relies on the team comp itself to be effective. • Lacks interruption resistance and can be staggered in the air with ranged attacks or a stray swipe from a long-reaching melee unit. • Individual damage multipliers are low, relying more on Elemental Reactions. This also extends to his healing's multipliers, making him less effective than an actual healer. • Elemental Burst only functions as a quick form of Crowd Control, but lacks a more impactful use aside from enemy interruption and swirling. |
Ifa's best asset is his Swirl and Electro-Charge contributions, and buffing his own damage with Elemental Mastery is crucial to increasing his effectiveness in combat.
Most of Ifa's builds will use Viridescent Venerer as his best artifact set, but can be flexible with his stats and weapon choices depending on how you want to use him on the field.

Ifa's Swirl and Electro-Charge damage benefits the most from running an Elemental Mastery build with Viridescent Venerer, as both Elemental reactions are amplified by the amount of Elemental Mastery he has.
His healing also scales with Elemental Mastery, which further pushes this build forward ahead of the others.

Ifa's Elemental Skill and Level should be prioritized equally as he is a Swirl unit that greatly benefits from Levels in order to increase the potency of his Elemental Mastery-based attacks.
His Elemental Burst can then be leveled as it will be used semi-frequently in his Burst rotations, then finally his Normal Attack to give him a small bump in damage numbers as you weave those attacks in.
As a Swirl unit, Ifa was made to use Viridescent Venerer as most of his kit is built around swirling elements during his Nightsoul's Blessing state.
However, by virtue of being a Natlan unit, he can also make use of Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City for a more supportive playstyle.

Ifa's driver playstyle benefits from Elemental Mastery weapons like Sunny Morning Sleep-In and A Thousand Floating Dreams due to the Elemental Mastery bonuses that it provides as that directly impacts his Swirl damage.
Other weapon choices include general buff weapons or Energy Recharge weapons should Ifa need it, but he will almost always benefit from having more EM than any other stat on his weapons.

Ifa works best in Swirl Electro-Charge teams where he can Swirl for the team and increase the Electro-Charge DMG done.
Additionally, he works well in teams that utilize Nightsoul's Blessing due to how much it improves both Swirl and Electro-Charge damage.

Ifa is mainly placed as the On-Field Anemo Driver for Electro-Charge teams due to his ability to keep the team sustained while increasing the damage of the party.
Ororon in particular is one of his best allies as he fulfills half the team requirement for Electro-Charge, as well as possessing Nightsoul's Blessing.

| Ifa's Constellations | |
|---|---|
| C1 |
Vitiferous Elixir's Concoction When Supporting Fire hits an opponent, it will restore 6 Energy for Ifa. One such Energy restoration can be triggered once every 8s. |
| C2 |
Guiding Spirit of Ballistic Prayer When Ifa is in the Nightsoul's Blessing state, every Nightsoul point the party has above a total of 60 will grant Ifa 4 additional Rescue Essentials points. Additionally, Ifa's Rescue Essentials limit is increased by 50. You must first unlock the Passive Talent Field Medic's Vision. |
| C3 |
Rebuttal in Negotiations With the Night Increases the Level of Airborne Disease Prevention by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C4 |
Decayed Vessel's Permutation The restraining wind current created by the Elemental Burst Compound Sedation Field has its duration extended to 3s. Additionally, Ifa gains 100 Elemental Mastery for 15s after using his Elemental Burst Compound Sedation Field. |
| C5 |
Vow of Universal Coexistence Increases the Level of Compound Sedation Field by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
| C6 |
Oath on a Feathered Knot When Ifa uses the Hold version of his Supporting Fire, there is a 50% chance that he will fire an additional Tonicshot that deals 120% of Ifa's ATK as Anemo DMG. This DMG is considered Normal Attack DMG. Additionally, when he is not in combat, Ifa will consume 20% less Nightsoul points and Phlogiston in his Nightsoul's Blessing state. |
| Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
|---|---|---|
| C2 | ★★★ |
• Ifa gains even more Rescue Essentials points where the total Nightsoul Point sum that the party has is over 60. • Increases Ifa's own Nightsoul Point limit by another 50. |
| C4 | ★★☆ |
• Increases the crowd control of his Elemental Burst for another 3 seconds. • Increases Elemental Mastery by 100 for 15s after using his Elemental Burst. |
| C6 | ★★☆ |
• Gives him a 50% chance each time to fire a Tonicshot that deals 120% of his ATK instead of a normal pellet. This constellation improves his overall DPS and is considered Normal Attack DMG. • Consumes 20% less Nightsoul Points and Phlogiston while out of combat and in Nightsoul's Blessing. |
Ifa's Swirl playstyle is already complete by the time he reaches C2 as it improves the generation of his Rescue Essentials points, which is the core currency needed to uphold his increased Swirl and Electro-Charge buffs.
However, for those looking to maximize Ifa, going C6 will allow him to function as a Normal Anemo DPS, especially when combined with all other constellations in his kit.

One of Ifa's passives allows him to increase both the Swirl and Electro-Charge DMG of the party, based on the amount of active Nightsoul Points on the team.
This makes Ifa's main role that of a Swirl driver that works best in Electro-Charge teams, and can heal the team with his while under the effect of Nightsoul's Blessing.
As a Flower-Feather Clan member, Ifa taps into Nightsoul's Blessing and lifts himself into the air with his Saurian companion, Cacucu.
While in the air, Ifa can fire Anemo bullets at enemies, dealing Anemo Swirl DMG and healing the whole party on-hit. This is mainly used as a Swirl tool for spreading different elements around the battlefield.
Like most Natlan characters, Ifa can use his Elemental Skill as a means to traverse around Natlan, particularly by flying. This act consumes his Nightsoul Points and Phlogiston the longer he maintains it.
Ifa's Elemental Burst causes him to fire an Anemo bullet into an enemy which explodes on impact, causes Swirl, and drags enemies to the impact origin using Anemo winds.
This seems to be a way to facilitate Elemental reactions and group enemies to ensure that they remain in range of each other to maximize Ifa's Swirl bullets.
While in Natlan or anywhere with Phlogiston mechanics, having a party member or indwelled Saurian lose HP below a threshold will cause Ifa to consume his own Phlogiston to heal the wounded.
This adds a level of comfort to exploration while in Natlan as you now have a safety net that can possibly save you from death.

It was revealed in the Archon Quests Act 3 and Act 4 that Ifa and Ororon are close friends, and often spend time together. Ifa even helps Ororon deliver vegetables to Citlali, and pass messages between the two!

Ifa was mentioned briefly by Mualani, Kachina, and Kinich in their voice lines, describing Ifa as a super quick, amazing, and efficient veterinarian.
Kachina calls him a sauro-vet, while Kinich mentioned bringing Ajaw to him for an ''illness'' once, confirming that he works mainly with Saurians!
During the Tournament of Glory in Bloom Event, Ifa revealed that he came from a family of veterinarians. He also said that his father started training him to become a veterinarian when he was a kid.

Located in the Flower-Feather clan is a house with the same veterinarian clinic sign as the one shown to be associated with Ifa! It's likely that he lives in or near the Flower-Feather Clan.
During the Version 5.2 livestream, previews of the Flower-Feather Clan showed a brief shot of this house as well!

In the Tournament of Glory in Bloom Event, Ifa revealed that he was busy treating wounded Saurians during the War Against the Abyss in Natlan.

Ifa was shown in the Version 5.5 Trailer and during the 5.5 Special Program! He was with his saurian companion, Cacucu, and was shown to be involved in the Tournament of Glory in Bloom event.

Ifa matched the silhouette of one of the characters teased in the 5.3 Livestream, which were announced to release as playable characters.

Chasca
|
Chuychu and my dad have discussed medicine with him countless times. So after I got back from the airborne workshop, the first thing I did was take Coya to get checked out by him. But he seemed so dismissive — he took one glance, said ''it's nothing serious, Cusco can handle it,'' and then immediately left to deal with another patient... (sigh) He was right, of course. I was just worrying too much. |
Kachina
|
Ifa's a really amazing sauro-vet! Any little Saurian who sees him comes back and starts living a healthy life! They eat right, sleep well, don't cause trouble; and basically don't get sick again! So whenever a Saurian's looking sick, everyone's first thought is to ask him to fly over and have a look! |
Kinich
|
Kinich: I've enlisted his services before. It was when Ajaw said he was "ill"... Whatever it was, he was ranting and crying incessantly. So, I figured it only made sense to take him to the best sauro-vet I could find. And he really is a pro. Ajaw wasn't inside for long, but when Ifa brought him out, he was cured. Ajaw: Gah... What do you know about medicine! He's not even a real doctor, he's a quack! A charlatan! ...You weren't even there, you don't know what he said! Ugh. |
Mavuika
|
The truly great doctors often possess vast medical knowledge as well as great communication skills. And, when the patient and the doctor do not speak the same language, observation and empathy become even more important. That's why Ifa can make friends with just about anyone. Suffice it to say, if someone is on bad terms with Ifa - human or saurian - I doubt the problem lies with him, haha. |
Mualani
|
Ifa is the best! No matter what we invite him to do, he's always happy to join. And he's super quick and efficient at everything, too. If he wasn't already as a vet, I think he'd make a pretty great water sports coach. Hmm? Is he from a different tribe? Well, yeah, but that won't be a problem at all! |
Ororon
|
Ifa may scold his patients a lot, but he actually has a great relationship with the saurians. Whenever he has some time off, he'd play the guitar in front of the clinic, and a bunch of saurians would gather around and sing along. Although, it's more like noise than actual singing. I like to join in when I'm around, too... with the saurians, I mean. |
Xilonen
|
Ifa has come to the tribe before to heal some Tepetlisaurs. He is very skilled, and knows how to care for his patients. Even the most rambunctious Saurians will sit quietly when he's around. Ifa said it's all thanks to the set of Saurian syringes I made for him. Even without the needle on it, it's enough to deter any person or Saurian from misbehaving. Would you like to see it? I still have a sample set if you're interested. Wait here, I'll go fetch the biggest one... Huh? Why are you backing away? The needle isn't even attached, it's completely safe. |
| Character | In-Game Thoughts |

Chasca
|
About Chasca Her work as a peacemaker is extremely important. She cures a lot of ills that are beyond my reach. |
Citlali
|
About Citlali Granny's... Yeah, she's a tough cookie. With a colorful pajama collection, hahaha... I try not to get dragged into her and Ororon's drama, so whenever she gives me a message for him, I just pass it right on, word-for-word, no questions asked. I figure if I- wanna stay out of her line of fire, the less I know, the better. |
Kachina
|
About Kachina I can tell that Kachina has a real soft spot for saurians. If she put in the work, I'm sure she'd make an excellent vet. But since she's already proven herself as a warrior, she's probably better off focusing on that than trying to study medicine with me on the side. |
Kinich
|
About Kinich Serious question: Does Ajaw technically count as a living being? When he came to see me for treatment, I gave him a very thorough checkup but couldn't find anything wrong with him. So I told Kinich, "Just bash him on the head a few times until he starts working again." And the moment Ajaw heard that, bro, he was suddenly fine again. Strange coincidence, huh? |
Mavuika
|
About Mavuika The Pyro Archon gave me a ride once when I had to get to an emergency visit. Bro, it was so crazy. We get there, my head's still spinning at a million miles an hour, and somehow, I have to patch up this injured saurian... I pulled it off, much to my own surprise. I guess sometimes we don't know our own potential until we're pushed out of our comfort zone. |
Neuvillette
|
About Neuvillette ... What's that? You want me to take care of him if he ever gets sick? Um ... you know I'm a vet and not a doctor, right?Hmm ... Well, Cacucu's certainly taken a shine to him ... Alright, fine, bro. I'll do my best. |
Ororon
|
About Ororon Try Not to Overthink: That guy has a very peculiar way of thinking. You just gotta go with the flow around him. I wouldn't bother trying to figure him out, because honestly he never makes all that much sense. Anyway, he's not a bad person or anything, and he has his own unique ways of showing that he cares. You'll know what I mean once you've gotten to know him. But I Can't Help It: ... Okay, even though I'm used to him by now, there are still days when I wish I could get inside his head, just to see what is actually going on in there! |
Xilonen
|
About Xilonen I love chatting with Xilonen. She's always brimming with all sorts of fantastic creative ideas. Sometimes, her insistence on raw functionality can result in contraptions that look a little... intimidating, but then again, intimidation is kind of a function in its own right. |
