High Resistance to Hydro and Electro

High Resistance	Normal Resistance

All-Devouring Narwhal doesn't have a specific Elemental Weakness but has high resistance to Hydro and Electro, depending on which phase it is in.

During its Narwhal form, it has high resistance to Hydro, while during its Shadow form, it has high resistance to Electro.

We recommend using any DPS character that does not use the Hydro or Electro element as their main source of DMG.

Use Characters that excel in ranged damage

We recommend using characters that can deal damage from a distance, as you would need to attract the All-Devouring Narwal's aggression while it dives to progress further the fight.

Lyney is recommended as he can effectively deal decent Pyro damage and do Pneuma and Ousia attacks. Shield units like Zhongli are also very valuable in this fight, ensuring survivability.

How to Beat All-Devouring Narwhal

Wait Until the Narwhal Rises

At the beginning of the boss fight, the Narwhal will remain underwater and will show up in a few seconds. Only use your strongest attacks when it resurfaces to deal as much DMG as possible without wasting your energy.

Use Pneuma or Ousia Attacks to Destroy Eye of Maelstrom

When the Eye of Maelstrom shows up, use Pneuma or Ousia attacks on it to attract the Narwhal as soon as possible. The Narwhal will devour your character and have them fight against the Dark Shadow.

Use Pneuma or Ousia Attacks to Interrupt the Dark Shadow

The Dark Shadow can summon smaller creatures that can attack your characters in different directions. You can prevent this by using Pneuma or Ousia attacks when a prompt shows up to immobilize the Dark Shadow.

After defeating the Dark Shadow, the Narwhal will fall into an immobilized state and will take increased DMG from attacks.

All-Devouring Narwhal Attack Patterns

1st Phase

Attack Pattern	Information
Body Slam	Rises from the ground and will slam dealing massive AoE damage.
Water Pillars	Pillars of water emerges from the ground. AoE will be marked prior to the attack.
Eye of the Maelstorm	Chance to draw to attention of the boss. Requires Pneuma or Ousia attacks
Eating Attack	Swallows the player. Transition to 2nd phase.

2nd Phase (Dark Shadow)

Attack Pattern	Information
Forward Slash	Rises from the ground and will slam dealing massive AoE damage.
Disk Attack	Throws in disks that has a certain reach.
Downward Slam	Slams claymore unto the crowd. Deals marked AoE damage
Summon Attack	Transforms into an orb then into various summons. Summons cannot be attacked.
Eating Attack	Transforms into an orb. Requires Pneuma or Ousia attacks to deal damage to its shield .
