Located in the Fontaine Research Institute Region

The Experimental Field Generator is located in the Fontaine Research Institute Region. You can find it inside a circular, ruined building south of the Academic Assembly Hall Teleport Waypoint.

How to Get to the Experimental Field Generator

Travel Northeast of Liffey Region's Statue of Seven

You can reach the Experimental Field Generator by traveling northeast of the Statue of Seven in the Liffey Region. Follow the path until you get to the Teleport Waypoint in the Assembly Hall, then head south to see the circular building and the Experimental Field Generator.

You can also unlock the Statue of Seven in Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region to see the world boss on the map and help you find it.

How to Beat Experimental Field Generator

Use Pneuma Attack to Shut Down the Core

During combat, the Experimental Field Generator will generate a Gravitational Reduction Field, which will cause the player to jump higher. To bring it to a halt, use Pneuma to destroy the core.

Note that it may take a few Pneuma attacks to shut down the core, and some characters' Pneuma attacks might miss on occasion.

Do Plunge Attacks while Gravitational Reduction Field is Active

You can take advantage of the Gravitational Reduction Field by doing several Plunge Attacks on the boss. This is the best thing to do if you don't have a character that can break the core with Pneuma attack.

You can also get The Distance of the Moon achievement if you focus on doing Plunge Attacks when the Gravitational Reduction Field is active.

Experimental Field Generator Attack Patterns

Rock Shrapnels Attack

The Experimental Field Generator will spawn rock shrapnels at random across the field. A circle will mark the location where the rock shrapnels will appear, and there will be a small delay before the shrapnels materialize.

Ground Shockwave Attack

After charging, the Experimental Field Generator will release an energy explosion on the ground, causing a shockwave surge. Keep an eye out for the approaching shockwave and jump to avoid it.

Circling Laser Attack

The Experimental Field Generator's most used attack is the circling laser attack that expands and contracts on the ground. You can avoid it by putting some distance and attacking it from a far.
