How to Unlock Remuria and Sea of Bygone Eras

Complete Underwater Nocturne

The Sea of Bygone Eras region can be unlocked by completing Underwater Nocturne, the second subquest of the Canticles of Harmony quest chain.

Remuria is located in the Sea of Bygone Eras, which is locked behind The Last Day of Remuria world quest. You will eventually reach this area by progressing the quest chain.

You will be guided by Monsieur Os, a talking cat like Neko from the Neko Shrine Quests, who will accompany you as you explore the ruins!

The new Sea of Bygone Eras area, including Remuria, is largely underwater, with only its entrance located in Nostoi Region on the south side of Fontaine.

There are plenty of underwater caverns and ruins in the Sea of Bygone Eras, areas that used to be part of the Kingdom of Rumeria before it fell to ruin.

The ruins of Remuria are set underwater, and the structures inside resemble other underwater ruins, like that of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo, but with a more musically inclined flair. The outside is more vivid due to the numerous colored flora.

The Might of the Ancient Symphony

Within Remuria, various mechanisms and puzzles can be affected by an Ancient Symphony. Travellers can Pause or Play Soundwaves to use this Symphony to their advantage!

Players will also meet a gigantic, whale-like creature named Scylla. Interacting with Scylla can help you create currents that lead to a target destination of your choosing.

There are Mysterious Grimoires found within the castle of Remuria. These Grimoires have their rightful places in certain bookshelves, and applying the Symphony to them can solve their puzzles.

Washer Octopus

A new creature called the Washer Octopus can also be found in the Sea of Bygone Eras. These little creatures can interact with Wonderchime Flowers and Allochromatic Anemones and help solve their puzzle.

Cineas is one of the Local Legends of Fontaine, located in the cave beneath the Clivus Capitolinus. Defeating them rewards you with an achievement and sometimes a Precious Chest!
