Ganyu's Strengths and Weaknesses

Strengths
• Ganyu ascends with considerably high base CRIT DMG. This makes it easier to build her especially as a Freeze Main DPS. • Her entire kit is capable of dealing various forms of AoE. This provides some utility for the entire team as well as eases her Charged-attack based playstyle • Ganyu at C0 can already deal massive damage without needing any other constellations • With her decent energy regeneration and Off-Field capabilities, she can alternatively be built as a Cryo DMG Support.
Weaknesses
• Ganyu has naturally Low HP. This makes her quite squishy and can sometimes be one-shotted by bosses if not careful. • Charge Attack takes time without C6. This makes playing her feel clunky due to the wind-up time to deal one instance of damage. • Her Main DPS playstyle only revolves around charging up shots, this makes her always vulnerable and almost always requires a form of a shield.

This Main DPS build for Ganyu is a relatively cheap and easy build to make that helps Ganyu do the most DPS. It only needs two core characters, Xiangling and Bennett, for the team to work. The Shimenawa's set is the best set for this build, but a Wanderer's Set can be a good substitute.

This Freeze DPS build for Ganyu is more suited for non-boss-type enemies, stopping enemies in their tracks and dealing easy damage. One of the drawbacks of this build is it needs Mona or Kokomi and Kazuha or Venti to really make it shine.

Ganyu's role as a Sub-DPS is relatively simple. With her Elemental Burst, she will deal constant Cryo DMG in a wide area, while also providing a 20% Cryo DMG bonus to any character within the AoE field thanks to her Ascension Passive.

This is the standard Ganyu Melt Team comp. It provides increadibly high damage through the Reverse Melt reaction and is an easy team to build. Burst, Skill, then Charged Shots Combo

	How to Use Ganyu Combo
1	Use Ganyu's Elemental Burst to create a Cryo AoE. Keep Ganyu inside the AoE.
2	Use her Elemental Skill to take a way the enemies' attention from her.
3	Use Level 2 Charged Shots against the enemies.

To efficiently use Ganyu, use this combo! Being inside her Elemental Burst AoE will buff her Cryo DMG Bonus and then using her Elemental Skill will keep the enemies away from her.

Normal Attack

Normal Attack: Liutian Archery

Perform up to 6 consecutive shot with a bow. Charge Attack Perform a more precise Aimed Shot with increased DMG. While aiming, an icy aura will accumulate on the arrow head before the arrow is fired.Has different effects based on how long the energy has been charged: • Charge Level 1: Fires off an icy arrow that deals Cryo DMG. • Charge Level 2: Fires off a Frostflake Arrow that Deals Cryo DMG. The Frostflake Arrow blooms after hitting its target, dealing AoE Cryo DMG. Plunge Attack: Fires off a shower of arrows in mid-air before falling and striking the ground, dealing AoE DMG on impact.

Trail of the Qilin

Leaving a single Ice Lotus behind, Ganyu dashes backward, shunning all impurity and dealing AoE Cryo DMG. The Ice Lotus continuously taunts surrounding opponents, attracting them to attack it. Its endurance scales based on Ganyu's Max HP, and it blooms profusely when destroyed or once its duration ends, dealing AoE Cryo DMG. Flavor Text: “You saw me, you say? You must be mistaken. I was working overtime then.”

Coalesces atmospheric frost and snow to summon a Sacred Cryo Pearl that exorcises evil. While active, the Sacred Cryo Pearl will continuously rain down shards of ice, striking opponents within its AoE and dealing Cryo DMG. Flavor Text: Ganyu can bring down sweet rains as a matter of course. But against demons and heretics, they become bitter, freezing.

Pull From 3.6 Phase 2 Banners

Ganyu had her rerun during Phase 2 of Version 3.6, which ran from May 2, 2023 until May 23, 2023, alongside Baizhu's debut and the release of 4-star character, Kaveh.

Since she is an event exclusive 5-star character, she can only be acquired through limited Character Event Wish Banners. It is likely that she will have a rerun in the future, so stay tuned for more updates!

Baizhu	Those with the blood of the adepti have strong constitutions. Even when she is ill or injured, she does not require any medicine to recover. She isn't like your average mortal, who would be left with long-term residual issues if they did not receive medical treatment after a serious injury.
Beidou	Privately, Ganyu and I get on like a house on fire! But as you know, she’s the secretary to the Liyue Qixing… and I’m not exactly in their good books right now! Doesn’t bother me, but I wouldn’t want to put Ganyu in a difficult position. So just keep what I said between us, yeah?
Keqing	Skepticism: Who knows what Rex Lapis must have doe to inspire such blind devotion from Ganyu...but her reluctance to be critical is not without its advantages. In the workplace, she'll carry out my instructions to the letter, even when I can tell she has her reservations. It's a good attitude to have as a career professional. Reflection: I find myself getting a second opinion from her a lot these days. Lots things come up that I just have no idea about, and of everyone in Liyue, she's probably the most familiar with Rex Lapis. Heh...I feel a bit awkward, though, because I used to be opening disparaging of Rex Lapis in front of her...But she doesn't seem to mind, so I guess I've got nothing to worry about...
Ningguang	One cannot afford to be overly reliant on others even when it comes to Ganyu. There is a Liyue saying which goes, "It takes a hundred people to keep a secret, but only one to let it slip." When there are important affairs to deal with, it is always safer to investigate and resolve it personally.
Shenhe	I've heard many stories about her from my master. She's really quite different from how I originally imagined her... But don't worry, I'll be keeping this to myself. Speaking of Ganyu, her work in Liyue Harbor is unbelievably busy... It seems that there is a price to pay for those who want to integrate into the mortal world.
Xiangling	Ganyu? Oh... Oh yeah! I remember her — vegetarian, right? She doesn't come to the Wanmin Restaurant very often — but when she does, she sits alone in the corner and eats her meal in total silence. Poor girl, she seems kinda lonely... I always give her an extra-large portion because I feel sorry for her. Funniest thing is, she eats every last bite, every time! I wouldn't have guessed she had such an appetite just by looking at her.
Xianyun	One once asked Ganyu what she typically works on during her overtime hours. Her response was filled with hideous-sounding words, such as "meeting minutes," "summaries," "annual reports," "financial projections"... Hmph, were she not of qilin blood, and had one not taught to her the secrets of cultivating health, this avalanche of bureaucratic writ would have surely overwhelmed her... When you see her next, would you check that she's been drinking her Qingxin Infusion of Clear Sight on a daily basis?
Xiao	Ganyu is neither mortal nor illuminated beast. Wandering, both the mortal and adepti realms with duty as her sole guide, it was inevitable that she would become perplexed... What? Me? You believe a yaksha who knows nothing more than how to massacre countless souls and emerge unscathed is a suitable mentor for such an individual? ...Your mind occupies a very different world from that which your body inhabits.
Yae Miko	Hmm, now that you mention it, it's been a while since I last saw Ganyu. Before the Sakoku Decree came into effect, the two of us would often meet to discuss bilateral relations between our two nations. I always found her quite reliable. The next time you go to Liyue, take her some more fresh Sea Ganoderma for me.
Yanfei	Ganyu is kind and thoughtful, it's just a shame she's so busy all the time. Most of the time, she's buried in an endless pile of paperwork — the only exception being her nap at noon. Don't get me wrong, I have to put in some hours at work, too. But I'm happy with the job I've chosen, and it's certainly a lot less taxing than hers.

I'm not quite sure how that one slipped out...
Keqing	About Keqing Estrangement: I cannot stand her disrespectful attitude towards Rex Lapis! But he says to me, "Ganyu, this is just the kind of person Liyue needs in this day and age." I guess I'm not smart enough, because I simply do not understand what he means by that. I think I need more life experience to become wise enough to comprehend his words. Changing Perspective: She came to me recently to discuss the reopening of the Bishu trade route. She even asked me what Rex Lapis would do if it were him. Admittedly, what we came up with was not quite on par with what he would have chosen, But... seeing the way she kept starting her plan from scratch over and over again, I think I started to understand her a little bit.
Ningguang	About Ningguang Each Tianquan adds their own interpretation and amendments to the founding lawas of Liyue. The current one, Ningguang, does it with unmatched efficiency, but that efficacious manner of hers draws a great deal of criticism. I suppose it is always simpler to criticize than to tolerate.
Shenhe	About Shenhe I actually don't know her all that well — I've only heard bits and pieces from Cloud Retainer. From what I've heard, she can be quite ferocious. Whenever her temper gets the better of her, she is likely to start obliterating her surroundings. I wonder if she's just... bored. Should... Should I recommend some work to keep her occupied?
Xiangling	About Xiangling Xiangling is a celebrity! Um, but... I try to avoid her restaurant. Just... because. No reason. ...Okay, fine. It's not a big secret anyway. It's because you can smell her cooking all the way from the other end of the street. And once you get a whiff, I mean, that's it. You're gone. Next thing you know, you're ordering your second, maybe third round... You just can't control it. Even though I only eat the vegetarian dishes, I don't know what it is.
