Where to Find the Fading Veteran
Located Underwater in the Elton Trench
The Fading Veteran can be found in Elton Trench, east of Elynas Statue of Seven. Dive deep down into the ravine until you see destroyed ship parts.
How to Defeat the Fading Veteran
Absorb the Blubberbeast Sonar Ability
You must first absorb the Sonar ability of a Xenochromatic Blubberbeast to beat the Fading Veteran. This will allow you to launch attacks against the enemy.
Hold down your basic attack and target the blue Blubberbeast to absorb the Sonar ability!

Avoid Attacking the Fading Veteran While It Is Invisible
The Fading Veteran can become invincible and will be immune to all damage. While in this state, it will continue to fire sonar attacks, so make sure to avoid them. You can also use its attacks to track it down!
Attack the Fading Veteran After It Has Revealed Itself
When the Fading Veteran's invisibility ends, it will remain in place for a while before moving again. Use this opportunity to launch a continuous attack and deal more damage.
