![]() |
Furina is first and foremost, a potent buffer support. She has the benefit to be able to fill in any team comps who may like the damage buffs she brings. She also opens up new playstyles for characters that don't play around HP fluctuations in their kit. |
![]() |
![]() |
Damage scaling for a Sub-DPS is superb, and its duration is semi-permanent thanks to the long duration of her Elemental Skill. Her Hydro application is decent, but only to a lesser degree than the likes of Xingqiu or Yelan. Her teams, however, are inflexible due to the need for a strong party healer for her Fanfare mechanic. |
![]() |
![]() |
Charlotte is a good hybrid of a Support and a Sub-DPS, perfect for setting up Cryo-reactions like Freeze. Her only downside is that some of her neat features to improve her Cryo Application, healing, and damage are locked behind constellations. We recommend pulling for these constellations if you can! |
Multiple CharactersNEW | Fixes and adjustments for 4-star Characters | Adjusted the optimal constellations for 4-star characters. Certain characters whose current constellations don't necessarily change much of their power have their optimal level reduced. Similarly, characters whose best constellation impact their performances are reconsidered as well. Because of this change, the C0 and C6 tier lists have also been adjusted. |
Tier List has been updated to December 4, 2023.
You can check out the explanation of the different tiers and constellation power changes below the tier list table.
As we theorize and test characters, they are not treated as a singular unit but as a core member in a particular team comp. In other words, characters shall not be judged in isolation. Here you can check the summary of explanations for each tier:
![]() |
Characters which are must-haves that make hard content easier, and are the core party members for multiple teams, especially with minimal investement. |
---|---|
![]() |
Characters that are very strong in their respective roles. Some can also easily become core party members with the right investment in Artifacts or Constellations, with their main issue being accessibility. |
![]() |
Requires higher investment with artifacts, weapons, and team members to achieve similar performance as the other characters in the upper tiers. This is the cut-off point for the strongest characters in their respective roles. |
![]() |
Characters with solid performance in their respective roles. They shine in specific team compositions, but not so much on their own. |
![]() |
Characters who can do the job for their respective role, but can be replaced quickly due to mere lack of good numbers from their talents, stats, etc. |
![]() |
Characters with limited combat utility. You can use these characters if you don't have anyone else, but we recommend replacing them with a better character for that role. |
Constellation levels listed in the Tier List are considered the ideal level for that character's role. It is important to note that characters are evaluated in comparison with other characters in the current meta, and as such, may affect their rankings in all tier lists. For example: • Xingqiu's C6 is considered his optimal constellation and is thus ranked on that power level. • Hu Tao and Wriothesley C1 open up a new playstyle and combat rotation and maybe considered better for their power level. • Yanfei gains a small support passive at C4, but no further impactful support passives before C4. Thus Yanfei is added to Support Tier List only at that specific constellation. |
Role | Function |
---|---|
Main DPS |
・The main damage dealer of the party, which is often the hypercarry or the on-field driver of elemental reactions. ・Damage dealt is mostly from the character being on-field, whether it be Normal or Charged Attacks, or with Elemental Skill or Burst. |
Sub DPS |
・Uses Elemental Skills or Bursts to provide Elemental Reactions to support Main DPS. ・Characters with strong Elemental Skill or Burst that stay on-field even after being switched out. ・Typically swapped out after Skill or Burst use. |
Support |
・Provides support via Elemental Skills, Burst or Passive Talents. ・Provides buffs, debuffs, shields, or heals. |
Changes to a tier list is delicate and periodical, and we understand that any changes made to a tier is drastic and requires explanations. Below, you can find four scenarios within a patch's life cycle and our plan of action when it occurs:
Scenario | Notes |
---|---|
A new character releases: Preliminary Rankings | Expect preliminary rankings for a character when they first release. This will not be their final rankings in the version and will always be subject to change. As we'll need time to test their kit out, we urge our readers to treat the rankings on their first week as temporary. These will now be denoted with aNEW symbol. |
A character's banner will soon end: Final Rankings | Around a week before the new character's banner ends, we will be finalizing our thoughts about the character's tier. While we call this as the final rankings, characters released in the future may affect previous characters' overall performances. Those characters will be subjected to change as well. |
Meta Shifts | Shifts to the combat system like new mechanics or the release of a powerful support character can shake up our tier list. A concrete example of this was Dendro shaking up the meta when it first released, resulting in characters like Shinobu, Keqing, and Thoma, to rise up in rankings. |
Fixes | Comments that explain in detail why a character may or may not be in the correct tiering can be considered for deliberation. |
Polls have been reset for Version 4.2.
With the coming of the major region, our newest characters introduced new mechanics to spice up the combat system! What do you think so far about the newest characters? Feel free to discuss in the comments section below!

Characters with high damage from Normal and Charged Attacks, Elemental Skill and Burst. Talents and Constellations should also further improve overall damage output. Also effective against Bosses and Elite enemies as well as groups of smaller enemies.
Sub-DPS characters should have high DMG Elemental Skills and Bursts that's supplemented with either low cooldowns, Innate high Energy Recharge or high Energy Particle generation.
Sub-DPS should be able to apply elementals on enemies in various ways either due to effects of their skills and burst or through certain conditions set by their Talents and Constellations.
The less they're on the field, the better. Characters whose main toolkit does not steal too much time on the field are generally considered good Sub-DPS characters.
Characters that can effectively apply shields for defense, buff stats or provide heals are valued as Support characters.
The difficulty of use, and amounts of buffs and heals based on a characters constellations and talents are all taken into consideration when rating characters.
