To Reveal the Altar's Secrets during the Wild Fairies of Erinnyes quest in Genshin Impact 4.2, use the Ball Octopus ability to remove the bacterial mats and hit the bubble to sound the Harmonius Reed Pipes. See how to complete this puzzle in this guide!

Genshin - Reveal the Altar

To Reveal the Altar's Secrets, you must solve a total of three puzzles: Dew Bubbles, Contaminated Bacterial Mats, and Harmonius Reed Pipes, which are all located around the Altar.

All of these puzzles can be solved using the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus ability, so make sure to borrow its ability before heading to each of the puzzle!

Get the Ball Octopus Ability

Genshin - Reveal the Altar

Start first by collecting the Ball Octopus ability from the pillar with a blue orb on top of it. This allows you to change your Elemental Skill into the Ball Octopus, which lets you remove the bacterial mats and solve the Reed Pipes puzzle!

Xenochromatic Fontemer Creatures

Remove the Contaminated Bacterial Mats with the Ball Octopus Ability

With the Ball Octopus skill enabled, hold down the button as you would with your Elemental Skill, then aim it to the Contaminated Bacterial Mats. Hold the skill until the enemy gets defeated, to remove the area's impurities!

Push and Combine Bubbles to Make It Bigger

Removing the Bacterial Mats will spawn two Dew Bubbles for each area. You can move and combine both bubbles by holding your Ball Octopus ability.

Hitting these bubbles with an attack will make it ripple, which will send out a shockwave. You will need a larger ripple by combining it so make sure to do this first!

Dew Bubbles How to Solve

Sound All Harmonius Reed Pipes in Order

Shockwaves from hitting the Dew Bubbles must sound all the Harmonius Reed Pipes at once!

Some of the Harmonius Reed Pipes will have a symbol above them. These symbols indicate the order in which they should sound from a single ripple.

How to Solve the Bubble and Reed Pipes Puzzles

Push the big bubble to the center of all three Reed Pipes, then hit it to sound them all at once.
2
Push the big bubble closest to Reed Pipe with only 1 symbol, then the pipe with 2 symbols. Hitting the bubble should ripple them in order, with the third pipe with three symbols being hit last.

Push the bubble to the center of all the Reed Pipes, but have it a bit closer to the lone Reed Pipe 1. Hitting it should first sound the Pipe with only 1 symbol before the two Pipes with 2 symbols.
