How to Solve Experimental Focusing Mirror Puzzles

Activate the First Focusing Mirror

Genshin Impact - Treacherous Lights of the Depths - Start the First Optical Device

The puzzle starts as you enter the underwater ruins. Find and activate the first Focusing Mirror (or the optical device) by following the light. Simply interact with the device and wait for the image to become clear to activate it.

Go the Second Focusing Mirror

Genshin Impact - Start the Second Optical Device

Follow the beam of light from the first mirror to get to the second one. Unfortunately, it's missing a component, which you can get by solving the Energy Transfer Terminals puzzle.

Solving the Energy Transfer Terminals

Use the viewfinder to get onto the next one on the wall and get a better angle. Transfer the energy from the right cell to the left cell after getting a view on them. It should unlock the door after that, allowing you to grab the missing component for the second Focusing Mirror.

Go back to the device and start activating it. You will need to do it twice this time as there are two images showing.

Find and Activate the Third Focusing Mirror

Genshin Impact - Find the Third Optical Device

You can find the third Focusing Mirror by following the light from the second mirror. It is also missing a component like the second one, but you can find it easily on the upper floor. Climb on the wall nearby and head back to add it to the device.

There will be three images you need to work on this time. Be patient and wait for each one to load clearly to solve it!

Inside an Underwater Ruin

Genshin Impact - Treacherous Light of the Depths - Map Location

The Experimental Focusing Mirror puzzle is located in an underwater ruin in the eastern part of the Fontaine Research Institute Region and a part of the Treacherous Light of the Depths World Quest.

You can reach it by diving on the pier near the Teleport Waypoint and destroying the rocks to the cavern with the Xenochromatic Jellyfish's Ability. Continue going down until you reach the bottom. Follow the path, open up a few doors on the way, and you will eventually get inside the ruins.
