How to Collect Strange Parts

Complete Melusine World Quests

You can get Strange Parts from World Quests given by Melusines all over Merusea Village. You can start some of these quests right off the bat, before starting the Ancient Colors Quest Chain, while others require you to finish the whole quest line first!

Quests Before Completing Ancient Colors

The following are quests you can immediately complete before starting Ancient Colors. You can still get a Strange Part even without having to trigger the Mamere quest chain!

	World Quest
1	"Hey, This Isn't Pumpkin Soup..." As soon as you set foot on Merusea Village, you can check the bonfire to your left. Talk to Verenata to trigger the quest!

Quests During Ancient Colors

The following quests are automatically unlocked as soon as you start A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre, the second subquest of Ancient Colors!

	World Quest
1	Book of Esoteric Revelations Talk to Canotila to start this quest. Canotila is located by the waterfall, few paces away from Verenata's campfire.
2	The Lone Phantom Sail This quest unlocks after you complete Hey, This Isn't Pumpkin Soup... quest! Go to A Lonely Place, and talk to Ahes about a ship!

Quests After Completing Ancient Colors

The quests below will only unlock after finishing Ancient Colors Quest Chain, and by satisfying other conditions!

1	Strange Stone Chronicle After completing the Ancient Colors quest line, Puca will ask for your help to retrieve her lost token!
2	Echoes of the Ancient World You can only unlock this quest by completing Hey, This Isn't Pumpkin Soup..., and Ancient Colors. Talk to Carabosse and Topyas underwater, in A Very Bright Place!

Talk to Serene in the Merusine Village

During A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre, Serene will give you one Strange Part by talking to Serene.

After completing the Ancient Colors questline, you can talk to Serene again so she can give you four Strange Parts.

Complete Iara's Fishing Game

You can get a Strange Part from Iara by completing her Fishing Game. You can see her fishing behind the giant house in the Merusea Village. Iara will ask you to spread the bait and defeat the Ball Octopus.

Talk to Cosanzeana in the Merusine Village

You can get a Strange Part from Cosanzeana by talking to her and watering her flowers using Hydro. After a day, you can talk to her again to start the Were It So Easy quest!

Were It So Easy Quest Guide

Talk to Sluasi

You can talk to Sluasi after completing Ancient Colors, and she'll ask you what you think the color of the sun is. Depending on your response, you must give her any item that corresponds to it.

Afterwards, she'll give you a Strange Part, and you can talk to her again to trigger The Three Primary Colors of Solar Corona quest!

Book of Esoteric Revelations Backroom

A Strange Part can be collected behind the room where Canotila resides in the Book of Esoteric Revelations quest. Simply enter the room and collect the treasure chest.

Underwater Puzzle Behind Mamere's House

You can get a Strange Part behind Mamere's House from an Echoing Conch Puzzle underwater. Use the Echoing Conch and investigate the Glowing Areas.

Some areas will spawn enemies, so defeat them to unlock the chest and claim the Strange Part.

Hydro Puzzle in " A Lonely Place "

The Strange Part is located inside a locked Treasure Chest. You must first solve the Water Volume Detection Crystal puzzle to unlock it! Then, use the nearby prism to resonate with the ore and unlock the chest!

Chest on Top of the Suspended Structure

Also in ''A Lonely Place'', a Strange Part is located inside a chest found on top of the suspended structure. You need to scale said structure and look for an exquisite chest resting on one of the corners.

How to Use Strange Part

Advance the Ancient Colors World Quest Chain

You will need to collect four Strange Parts from Melusines and other World Quests in Fontaine to advance the Ancient Colors World Quest Chain.

You can use your spare Strange Parts to buy items from Xana's Shop, which can only be unlocked after completing the Ancient Colors questline!
