This is a story walkthrough guide for Chapter 1: Act 3 in Genshin Impact. Here you can learn what you need to do in order to progress and what you should be doing during Act 3.

Go to the marker on Mt. Tianheng.
Follow the marker to a windmill.
|3||Use an Anemo skill on the windmill to activate the wind current and use it to get to the floating platform. There is also a chest you can open on the platform.|
|4||Head to Guizhong Ballista marker on your map where you'll be met by some Millelith.|
Defeat 3 waves of Millelith.
Follow the markers to find the ingredients that Paimon needs.
The first ingredient can be found after defeating a Hydro Slime.
While looking for the second ingredient you'll find that a group of Treasure Hoarders has someone locked in a cage. Defeat the Treasure Hoarders to get the key to the cage and open it, then talk to the man inside.
The second ingredient is in one of the pots of Sweet Flower.
Head to Minxing Jewelry in Liyue Harbor to pick up the last ingredient.
Follow the marker and talk to guide go to the Jade Chamber.
When you arrive at the Jade Chamber, talk to Ningguang.
Go inside the Jade Chamber and talk to Ningguang again.
Interact with the board in Ningguang's chamber.
|1||Use the teleport waypoint near the Sea of Clouds Statue of the Seven and follow the marker.|
There are multiple Fatui skirmishers you have to fight here, just use the proper elemental reaction to defeat them with ease.
|3||Once you defeat the Fatui, you will be free to investigate the Fatui's research.|
|4||Use the teleport waypoint near Luhua Pool and make your way to Dihua Marsh to meet up with Zhongli.|
Go to the marked area of the map to find some Glaze Lilies.
|6||3 Cryo Whopperflowers will appear and you have to defeat them. Avoid getting wet and use Pyro and Electro attacks to defeat them quickly.|
Head to the entrance of Liyue Harbor marked on the map then talk to the Fatui agent there.
Teleport to the other Liyue Harbor waypoint and make your way to the Golden House.
|2||Continue towards the chamber and examine the Exuvia.|
You will have to fight Childe in a boss battle. He has three forms that he will transition to every time you drain his health.
Childe's First Form: He uses his bow for long ranged Hydro attacks. Make sure to dodge his AoE attacks.
Childe's Second Form: Childe switches to Electro Melee attacks.
Childe's Last Form: This form is a mix of his first 2 forms.
After defeating Childe, you have to protect the Adepti and hold off Osial, Overlord of the Vortex.
After Childe's first phase, Childe will mark you then perform a hard to avoid homing attack. You can avoid this attack by removing the mark on your character by using the Pyro effect in the edge of the arena.
|Best Characters for Tartarglia Boss Fight|
You'll be up against Tartaglia and Osial, Overlord of the Vortex in a series of battles during this part of the quest, so make sure you prepare your party and Food items before you enter the Golden House.
|1||You will have to protect the three Ballistas from the Fatui enemies for 6 minutes.|
|2||While you're fighting the Fatui, you will get some buffs that will make you faster, stronger, and tougher.|
|1||Use the teleport waypoint at Liyue Harbor and make your way to the marker.|
Follow the marker again to Northland Bank.
|3||Go up to Yujing Terrace and go to the markers to listen to the rumors.|
Go towards the Millelith to listen to his announcement.
|5||Continue inisde to the Rite of the Parting.|
Talk to 3 of any of the important NPC's. Speaking to Madame Ping, Ningguang, Ganyu, Keqing, Ying'er, or Shitou, will count.
Go towards the end and talk to Zhongli.
Since it will always be raining during the fight, you can use this as an advantage to deal more damage by creating elemental reactions with your Electro, Pyro, and Cryo Characters.
To protect the balistas, you must defeat all of the enemies that will spawn in three different areas. Using two Anemo characters will help you move around the area without having to worry about your stamina consumption because of the Elemental Resonance.
By clearing some of the objectives on Chapter 1 Act 3, the unexplored section where you fight Tartaglia (Childe) will be opened. This is an area that you can explore where you can receive amazing rewards once a week.
You will need to reach Adventure Rank 40 to be able to do the Monoceros Caeli Chapter.

Zhongli is good - definitely better than when he first came out. Venti is kind of an insane character overall with his crowd control which is why people were pulling so much for him. Zhongli is different since the petrification from his burst only lasts a few seconds. Most people pull him for his shield, so if you are looking for a strong shield or Geo character then you can pull him but it's not really that necessary. It just matters whether you like playing him :)
Need someone mainly for the teapot stuff :D
