Following its usual six-week release pattern, Genshin Impact Version 5.0 is expected to release on August 28, 2024, if the patch cycle ends on Version 4.8.
As with the previous Version 3 patch cycle in Sumeru, we can expect Version 4.8, which should start on July 17, 2024, to jump straight to 5.0, hence Version 4.9 may be skipped.

Notably, the region seems to border the Sumeru's Desert, with a shadow of a cliff resembling the Girdle of the Sands map from Version 3.6!
