Chassanion is a hidden boss and is one of the Local Legends of Fontaine located within the Tower of Ipsissimus Underwater Region of Genshin Impact 4.2. Check out where to find it and how to beat it in this guide!
Where to Find Chassanion
Located Underwater of Weeping Willow
This underwater area is only accessible once you progress through the mission, The Search in the Algae Sea.
Swim southwest toward the Tower of Ipsissimus after teleporting to the south underwater waypoint . Through the platform in the center of the tower, swim down to face this Local Legend.

How to Defeat Chassanion
Use the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus Ability
Like the Mageblade Corrouge, you need to get the Ball Octopus Ability.
There should be a few to snag a nearby Xenochromatic Ball Octopus nearby the area, simply just press the Normal Attack button at them to get their ability!

Hold and Aim the Ability
Using the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus Ability, hold and aim against the glowing balls fired by the Chassanion to turn their attacks against them.

Chassanion is one of Fontaine's Local Legends. Defeating them grants you an achievement and, occasionally, a Precious Chest!

Each time you defeat Chassanion, you can bag one copy of Mysterious Xenochromatic Crystal which you can exchange for Mora, in the Rusty Ruddder.
Keep in mind that you can only carry one Mysterious Crystal at a time, so make sure to exchange them at the Rudder as soon as you get one!
