How to Unlock Bravais' Hidden Study

Obtain Seven Mysterious Ores

To unlock the secret study, you must first collect seven Mysterious Ores all over Fontaine. You can get a Mysterious Ore through the Road to the Singularity quest, Unfinished Comedy quest, and Treacherous Light of the Depths quest.

You can also get a Mysterious Ore by destroying the Thorny Cyst found in an underwater cavern south of Mont Esus East. Three more Mysterious Ores can be found in Fontaine through exploration.

Get Arkhium Stock From the Mysterious Ores

Once you've collected all Mysterious Ores, they will automatically turn into the Arkhium Stock. This can then be used in the Forging Press to create Akhium Lumenite.

Go to the Forging Press in the Submerged Stony Path

To head to the Submerged Stony Path, you can go through the Millennial Pearl Seahorse's arena and go towards the back where a body of water is located. Dive into the water and follow the path south until you reach the Forging Press.

Once you get to the Forging Press, you can start forging the Arkhium Lumenite with the following steps:

How to Forge Akhium Lumenite Summary

#	Objectives
1	Input the Arkhium Stock into the center of the machine.
2	Turn off all three steam pipes underneath the area using the Handwheels to ensure the pipe pressure is normal.
3	Activate the Power Supply System and start forging. When the Arkhium Stock starts glowing brighter, select the "Press" option.
4	Decrease the heat by defeating Pyro Slimes and using Hydro on the Forging Press.
5	Drop down to the ground and break a rock pile where a Hydroculus is located, east from the center of the machine, to fix the Cooling System.
6	Continue forging until another error appears.
8	Dive under the flooded area and get Xenochromatic Hunter's Ray Ability, then free the Xenochromatic Jellyfish from the seaweeds.
10	Destroy all Red Meanies by the two vents southeast and southwest of the area. Each batch of Meannies must be defeated at the same time.
11	Return to the second mechanism and activate Emergency Drainage Function.
12	Continue forging until you trigger a cutscene.
13	Obtain the Arkhium Lumenite from the now-flooded area.

Use Arkhium Lumenite on the Locked Door

After obtaining the Arkhium Lumenite, you can go back to the locked door southeast of the Experimental Field Generator boss, and interact with the mechanism to open the study! Doing so will grant you the Achievement titled Not so Strait is the Gate.

What to Find Inside Bravais' Hidden Study?

Hydroculus on the Ceiling

Inside Bravais' Secret Study are old notes, a Luxurious Chest, a Golden Bird's Shedding artifact and a Hydroculus up in the ceiling! You can climb the wall and get to the rafters to reach the Hydroculus.

Drained Conch Cup Inside A Luxurious Chest

Jump From the Ceiling to Reach the Room

There will also be a transparent wall with a Precious Chest and a Luxurious Chest inside. To get here, climb the walls again and jump from the ceiling into the room. You can use the mechanism inside to remove the walls.

In the Luxurious Chest is a Drained Conch Cup, similar to the ones you obtain from the Aqueous Tidemarks, and the Ann of the Narzissenkreuz questlines!
