How to Unlock Chiori Story Quest

Complete the Prerequisites

	Chapter 4: Act 5 Masquerade of the Guilty

You can unlock Chiori's Story Quest by completing Chapter 4, Act 4 Archon Quest, Masquerade of the Guilty, and using one Story Key. You must have also reached Adventure Rank 40+ to play thru her Story Quest!

Story Key Required

A Story Key is usually needed to unlock a Story Quest. Like most characters, Chiori will need Story Keys to unlock her quest.

To get 1 Story Key, you need to do 8 Daily Commissions and be at Adventure Rank 26. Since there are only 4 Commissions in a day, you will need a minimum of 2 days to get 1 Story Key.

Chiori's Story Quest Act 1 Walkthrough

Where Honed Blades Clash

	Objectives
1	Go to Chioriya Boutique, where you'll see Chiori talking to a woman named Laetitia. Once the woman leaves, Chiori will tell you she's planning to participate to the Fontaine Fashion Week.
2	In a few while, Kirara arrives with the fabrics Chiori will use for the Fashion Week. However, Kirara looks distressed—which turns out to be because of bandits attempting to intercept the shipment.
3	After hesitantly exposing the culprit of the attack, Chiori rushes over to Uther to confront him. Along the way, you'll spot Chevreuse, who then joins the gang on their way to Uther.
4	Once Chiori's done confronting Uther, return to Chioriya Boutique. Kirara is waiting just outside the shop, where Chiori mentions having to pre-arrange an entourage for Kirara to accompany her safely out of Fontaine.

Stained Spots

	Objectives
1	Wait until the next day (06:00 - 10:00), and head inside the Chioriya Boutique. After the Version 4.5 update, Travelers can now enter the shop by simply approaching the door!
2	Once inside, talk to Chiori briefly, and start helping her set up. To set up the Chioriya Boutique, simply group the attires with the similar styles! Refer to the following, to get your started: Place the Inazuman Kimono on the leftmost group. Place the Men's Formal Attire on the one in the middle. Place the Women's Formal Attire on the rightmost group.
3	A few while after setting up the boutique, customers will come flooding in with a bunch of cancellation and return requests. In addition, Chiori's accessory supplier also cancels his business with Chioriya Boutique.
4	After leaving the Boutique to Eloffe, go to the supplier with Chiori. You can use the Quartier Narbonnais waypoint to easily reach the location.
5	Once you and Chiori have reached the supplier, confront him. As Chiori talks to Wenger, you'll learn that a second-rate tabloid wrote and published defamatory rumors against the boutique, hence the sudden returns and cancellations.
6	After hearing the story from Wenger, Chiori disappears to nowhere, while Charlotte, who happens to be looking for you, offers her help in Chiori's situation.
7	However, since the boutique owner is currently MIA, try to catch up with Chiori, by retracing your steps back. Along the way, you'll overhear people badmouthing Chiori, and with no success of finding her, return to Chioriya Boutique.
8	At the Boutique, Ellofe tells the group that Chiori might have gone to a cliff by the sea to think. After hearing this, Charlotte suggests to interview Laetitia to help her publish an article to dissuade the people, and for the traveler to pay Chiori a visit and check up on her.
9	Look for Chiori at the designated location by teleporting to the Statue of Seven in Liffey Region. You'll spot her sitting at the cliff, by the overlooking of the sea.
10	Once there, talk to Chiori and check up on her about the whole situation with Uther, and her plans for the Fontaine Fashion Week. After a hearty discussion with Chiori, dive into the sea.
11	Once underwater, help Chiori collect materials for accessories. Fortunately all of them are extremely close to one another, but you have to defeat the nearby enemies first if you want to collect them uninterrupted. Get the Lovely Lumitoile nearby the Armored Crab enemies. Swim a bit forward to get the Ravishing Romaritime Flower. Lastly, get the Beauteous Beryl Conch underneath the boulder. You must destroy this boulder using the Armored Crab's ability first!
12	After collecting all the materials, meet up with Chiori, and return to Chioriya Boutique. Once there, she will ask you dismantle the clothes, which you can do so by simply attacking all of them.
13	Afterwards, Navia, and Charlotte each enters the shop, both of which are surprised with all the dismantled clothes lying around. After clearing out their confusion, search for Lyney and Lynette at Chiori's behest.

The Woven and the Cut

	Objectives
1	Wait until two days later, and meet up with Chiori in Fleuve Cendre. Once there, go to Uther's clothing factory.
2	Once inside, press forward until you see the a chamber with the Mechanical Guide in the middle. You're free to look around, but not much is going on aside from the being able to explore the shop.
3	Approach the Mechanical Guide, and follow it as it guides you towards Uther's Workspace. Investigate the surrounding area, which you realized to be completely normal. Afterwards, investigate the fitting room.
4	Go deeper in to the factory, until you see a giant conveyor belt that goes straight into the deeper areas of the Underground factory. Keep in mind that there are enemies along the way, so make sure to bring your best characters with you!
5	After taking pictures of the warehouse, use Chiori's Elemental Skill to prop yourself up into the air, and glide down to the conveyor belt in the middle.
6	There's another belt that leads to the other side of the warehouse, which you can easily access by gliding down from your current location.
7	Once you're on the other side, climb the small metal ladder to reach the giant door on the wall. This leads inside a chamber with three Control Panels at the middle.
8	Uther will lock you up inside the room, but there's a way to get out. To leave Uther's Factory, approach the three Control Panels, and operate them to activate the warehouse. Only the third Control Panel will do something, but you're free to operate the other two.
9	Operating the third Control Panel forces the system to enter its Expulsion Mode, which also summons Clockwork enemies inside, to keep from you going out.
10	After defeating the enemies, go left until you spot the first Hydraulic Press. Approach it, and wait for the ground below it to glow red, which indicates that the press will go down. Then, ride it and quickly get off, to reach the next level.
11	The second Hydraulic Press is the same, so simply ride it as you did with the first one, however the third press is slightly hidden, so you may want to wait for a bit until you see the ground glow.
12	Once you're out of the room, Paimon comments that the warehouse looks different. Although it may seem daunting, simply use the conveyor belt and the Hydraulic Press to reach the other side.
13	To leave the warehouse, use the conveyor belt in front of you, and ride the first Hydraulic Press at the end of it. Careful not to get hit by the steam, as it will throw your character out.
14	Once you're standing on the Press, use Chiori's Elemental Skill to prop yourself up, and glide to the ledge on your left.
15	Then, ride along the Conveyor Belt but do not ride the Hydraulic Press on it. Instead, keep on using the Conveyor Belt, until you reach the end.
16	Next, use Chiori's Elemental Skill again to reach the Conveyor Belt in front of you. You can land on the belt if you're not high enough to reach the Hydraulic Press on it, or you can immediately glide down the Press if you can properly it. Either way, make sure to reach the Hydraulic Press on this Conveyor Belt.
17	With the Hydraulic Press elevated, glide towards the Conveyor Belt across it, that connects to the other side of the room. You'll be able to easily reach it so long as the Press is elevated.
18	Open the door using the nearby Control Panel, and dive underwater. There's also a Precious Chest just past the door, which you must collect. Passing through the underwater current leads you straight to the first room in Uther's Factory.
19	As you try to leave the Factory, Uther appears with a bunch of Clockwork enemies with him. Fortunately, a fight won't ensue, as Chiori herself deals with them.
20	Once the Fontaine Fashion Week has commenced, and Chiori has shown the Chioriya Boutique's new logo, head back to the sea-side cliff to receive a custom brooch from her.
