Strengths | |||
---|---|---|---|
• High base scalings for a 4-star Main DPS character, which is a rarity for such types. • One of the more reliable characters to trigger Vaporize, Melt, or Burgeon as the Skill perfectly lines up with the window needed for such a reaction to occur with him as the trigger. • Self-sufficient as he can heal himself from both his Elemental Skill and Burst, which lets him utilize Marechaussee Hunter even without someone like Furina. • Obtaining higher constellations at C6 makes him competitive against most 5-star Main DPS characters. |
|||
Weaknesses | |||
• By himself, he has no access to Pyro infusion, which makes him reliant on his Elemental Burst to be used off-cooldown to deal sustained damage. • Gaming cannot jump and plunge if the initial rush of his Skill doesn't connect to an enemy, an object, or a slope. |

With his kit having innate HP fluctations, this Gaming build uses the Marechaussee Hunter CRIT Rate artifact set, which allows him to focus on stats like CRIT Damage. This set is generally easier to build for stat balancing, even if the 2-piece set won't work for him.
Equipping Elemental Mastery sands or weapons is also recommended for Vaporize or Melt, although you can make up for it if you have enough CRIT and Elemental Mastery on your substats.
* These weapons are only used for the CRIT Main Stat as a stat stick, but their weapon effects do not necessarily work with Gaming.

For players who want to heavily invest on Gaming, Crimson Witch of Flames is his best build in team comps focused on Elemental Reactions. If you have great rolls on this set, Crimson Witch gives a small advantage, but the stats are harder to balance than Marechaussee Hunter.
CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG weapons are generally better with Crimson Witch of Flames for stat balancing, so you may use an Elemental Mastery sands instead.

As you can time whenever you want to use your Plunging Attacks, Burgeon is Gaming's alternative build should you wish to play around the reaction. Focus everything on Elemental Mastery as much as you can while also having enough Energy Recharge.

Elemental Skill | Elemental Burst | Normal Attack |
Gaming's special Plunging Attacks increases its power by levelling up his Elemental Skill, but the damage itself is considered as Plunging Attacks, so this talent is unaffected by weapons that affect Elemental Skills like Beacon of the Reed Sea.
His Burst also deals a respectable one-time damage, so make sure to level that up as well. While Gaming has no infusion by himself, you may still level up his Normal Attacks especially if you have C6 Bennett.
Gaming's best weapon depends on whatever stats you need on Gaming in the context of your current artifact and team comp. If you need CRIT, Serpent Spine or Redhorn Stonethresher (only as a stat stick) are one of his best.
If you play around Elemental Reactions like Melt or Vaporize, then Elemental Mastery weapons are great especially with Bennett. Any of such weapons are interchangeable, but Rainslasher should be better at max refinement.

While it depends on your priorities, Crimson Witch of Flames is Gaming's best artifact in terms of overall potential damage, while Marechaussee Hunter is for ease of use. Practically speaking, the value of the latter makes artifact hunting easier for many players.
For Burgeon team comps, Flower of Paradise Lost would give you more damage, but it's generally better to farm for Gilded Dreams as the domain for it also rewards the Deepwood Memories set for your supports.

Nascent Light will be dispelled when the character leaves the field. If an Elemental Burst is used again during the duration of Nascent Light, the original Nascent Light will be dispelled. |

2-PC: Elemental Mastery +80 4-PC: The equipping character's Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon reaction DMG are increased by 40%. Max 4 stacks simultaneously. This effect can only be triggered once per second. The character who equips this can still trigger its effects when not on the field. |
2nd | Gilded Dreams |

List of Artifacts and Set Bonuses
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support/ Sub-DPS |
Support |
---|---|---|---|
Gaming | Furina | Xianyun | Bennett |
Gaming | Furina | Jean | Bennett |
This team maximizes Gaming's personal damage with his Plunging Attacks and his HP drain mechanic as a hypercarry. Xianyun and Furina are good synergistic supports for him, providing big damage boost to his overall damage.
Bennett also provides big ATK bonus, especially with Elemental Mastery weapons. Bennett's C6 is also great for Gaming as he can make him infuse Pyro for his regular attacks with Xianyun.
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support/ Sub-DPS |
Support |
---|---|---|---|
Gaming | Yelan | Xianyun | Bennett |
Gaming | Xingqiu | Xianyun | Bennett |
If you don't have Furina, a regular Vaporize team consisting of a Hydro character, Bennett, an Anemo buffer like Sucrose or Kazuha, are good. Elemental Mastery weapons for Gaming is better in such team comp as there is an abundant of ATK bonuses already.
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support/ Sub-DPS |
Support |
---|---|---|---|
Gaming | Rosaria | Sucrose | Bennett |
Gaming | Rosaria | Ganyu | Xianyun |
As you can control when to Plunge, Gaming's Pyro Application shouldn't be too fast in comparison with other Pyro characters, which means Melt teams are viable with him.
Melt teams with Rosaria as the team's core Cryo applicator are best with Gaming. This team still builds Elemental Mastery and CRIT for him.
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support/ Sub-DPS |
Support |
---|---|---|---|
Gaming | Fischl | Chevreuse | Bennett |
Gaming | Beidou | Fischl | Chevreuse |
Gaming will need Chevreuse for an Overloaded team comp to function properly. This is an alternative team comp for a Hypercarry Gaming versus Xianyun/Furina.
An advantage of Gaming in this team comp is that the knockback effect of Overloaded isn't a big issue for him, as his Elemental Skill allows him to close the gap, and follow enemies blown away by the reaction.
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support/ Sub-DPS |
Support |
---|---|---|---|
Gaming | Nahida | Furina | Baizhu |
Gaming | Nahida | Xingqiu | Kokomi |
Burgeon team comps require decent Dendro and Hydro application. Nahida can act as your solo Dendro character, but you can also use Collei and Yaoyao if you don't have her.
Any off-field Hydro character may work, but if you're using Xingqiu or Yelan, you will need to weave-in Normal Attacks in-between your Plunge Attacks to proc their Elemental Bursts.

Gaming's Constellations | |

C1 |
Bringer of Blessing When the Suanni Man Chai from Suanni's Gilded Dance meets back up with Gaming, it will heal 15% of Gaming's HP. |
C2 |
Plum Blossoms Underfoot When Gaming receives healing and this instance of healing overflows, his ATK will be increased by 20% for 5s. |
C3 |
Awakening Spirit Increases the Level of Bestial Ascent by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C4 |
Soar Across Mountains When Bestial Ascent's Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider hits an opponent, it will restore 2 Energy to Gaming. This effect can be triggered once every 0.2s. |
C5 |
Evil-Daunting Roar Increases the Level of Suanni's Gilded Dance by 3. Maximum upgrade level is 15. |
C6 |
To Tame All Beasts Bestial Ascent's Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider CRIT Rate increased by 20% and CRIT DMG increased by 40%, and its attack radius will be increased. |
Rating | Constellation Effect / Merits | |
---|---|---|
C1 | ★★☆ | • During Gaming's Elemental Burst, Suanni Man Chai will fully recover the health Gaming lost after using his Skill. |
C4 | ★★☆ | • Provides additional energy for every Plunging Attacks, which lessens his Energy Requirement. |
C6 | ★★★ | • His biggest powerspike in terms of raw damage and range, with added consistency of crits. |
Gaming's constellations simply improve his damage and the efficiency of his self-heals and skill rotations, but the bonuses he get from these are big enough for him to compete against most 5-star DPS characters!

Bestial Ascent |
---|
Pounces forward using Wushou arts, leaping high into the air after coming into contact with a target or surface. After Gaming has used Bestial Ascent to rise into the air, if he immediately uses a Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider instead.
Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider The DMG from Plunging Attacks caused by Bestial Ascent is converted to Pyro DMG that cannot be overridden by other elemental infusions. Upon landing, Gaming will consume a fixed amount of HP. Gaming's HP cannot be reduced below 10% by this method. Charmed Cloudstrider DMG is considered Plunging Attack DMG. |
Attribute | Effect (Lvl 1) |
---|---|
Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider DMG | 230.40% |
HP Cost | 15% Max HP |
CD | 6s% |
With his Elemental Skill, named Bestial Ascent, Gaming dashes to an enemy and leaps further into the air, which allows him to unleash a special plunge attack. This is his bread and butter DPS ability.
Plunge Attacks caused by Beastial Ascent strikes down with a Pyro AoE attack, which will also consume an amount of Gaming's HP.
Suanni's Gilded Dance |
---|
Gaming enters Wushou Stance, briefly applying Pyro to him, recovering a fixed amount of HP, and summons his companions, the Suanni Man Chai, to smash into his target, dealing AoE Pyro DMG. After bashing his target, Man Chai will roll to a nearby location before moving towards Gaming. When it links up with Gaming, Man Chai will leave the field and reset the CD for Gaming's Elemental Skill, Bestial Ascent.
While Wushou Stance is active, his resistance to interruption is increased, and when Gaming lands with Charmed Cloudstrider attack or completes the forward pounce attack from Bestial Ascent with over 50% HP, he will summon Man Chai again. Each Gaming can only have 1 Man Chai on the field simultaneously. This effect will be canceled once Gaming leaves the field. |
Attribute | Effect (Lvl 1) |
---|---|
Suanni Man Chai Smash DMG | 370.40% |
Skill Healing | 30% Max HP |
Wushou Stance Duration | 12s |
CD | 15s |
Energy Cost | 60 |
Gaming summons Man Chai and heals himself through his Elemental Burst, Suanni's Gilded Dance.
During the burst period, Man Chai goes around the field and returns to Gaming's location after a brief moment. When Man Chai meets with him, Gaming's Elemental Skill is reset, and Man Chai repeats this process, allowing for more Plunging Attacks.
Dance of Amity |
---|
After Bestial Ascent's Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider hits an opponent, Gaming will regain 1.5% of his Max HP once every 0.2s for 0.8s. |
Air of Prosperity |
---|
When Gaming has less than 50% HP, he will receive a 20% Incoming Healing Bonus. When Gaming has 50% HP or more, Plunging Attack: Charmed Cloudstrider will deal 20% more DMG. |

Baizhu | Gaming has quite a lot of scars and old injuries compared to other people his age. And every time he comes to see me, he always seems to have a new bruise here, and a new sprain there... sigh. No matter how many times I insist that he needs to be more careful, it always goes in one ear and out the other. All I can do is teach him some useful techniques for dressing and treating his wounds. I hope he finds them useful. |
Xiangling | Oh boy, once I know Gaming is coming, I make sure to prepare a huge pot of tea in advance. You know, so he can wash some of the spicy food down. I've offered to tone down the spice a bit for him, but he absolutely insists that he prefers the authentic flavor... And he's not even just saying that to be polite. Believe me, I know a true foodie when I see one! Anyway, if that's what he prefers, then who am I to disappoint, hehe! |
Xianyun | One is very fond of Gaming. He is good-hearted and entertaining in conversation, but never grandiloquent. We first met when one was resting by a lake, and he very kindly shared some of his provisions with me. Later, he commented that one seemed to be a wise elder, worthier of respect than even the adepti themselves... Hehe, this wise elder will be sure to look out for him after that. |
Xingqiu | Gaming's work has all the trappings of a chivalric hero. Picture the scene, on a dark and moonless night, a lone young figure clad in black stands fearless on a secluded country road. They say his mastery of the martial arts is unparalleled, and the mythical beast by his side always does his bidding... Bandits and brigands beware, for none who challenge him come away unscathed... When he has the time, I'd love to hear more about his experiences as a guard. You should come along too. |
Xinyan | The first time Gaming told me I had a bad case of rock 'n' roll fever, I checked my forehead to see if he was right. My temperature was fine, so I denied it. But he insisted it was true. We went back and forth arguing about it for hours before I realized it was all just a misunderstanding. Gaming explained that it was just another way to say you're a fan of something. Hahaha, there's never a dull moment when Gaming's around. Anyway, I've definitely come 'round to rock 'n' roll fever as an expression - I'll have to work it into the lyrics next time I write a song! |
Character | In-Game Thoughts |
---|---|
Baizhu |
About Baizhu Working as a guard and doing Wushou Dancing means I have a pretty injury-prone lifestyle. Good thing is, Dr. Baizhu's medicine is always there to save the day. Seriously, it's like the one thing people should pack before going on a long journey or family vacation. My workmates at the Secure Transport Agency always get me to bring some back for them when I come to Liyue Harbor. |
Charlotte |
About Charlotte Oh, yeah, yeah, the journalist, I know who you mean! All the Fontainians in Yilong Wharf read The Steambird, and sometimes I take a peekski too. Seems like all the best articles have her name on them. Wait! And you were on the front page once! That was you, right? |
Chongyun |
About Chongyun I heard that guy's got a "pure-yang spirit"? Where I'm from, we call that heatiness. Dude needs to drink more herbal teas, for real. |
Keqing |
About Keqing It's all thanks to the Yuheng that we don't get so many bandits on the road between Liyue Harbor and Yilong Wharf anymore. She's the one who spearheaded the crackdown on all that. ...You think my job's at risk, huh? Haha, they ain't gonna get rid of me that easily. Sure, maybe there's no more bandits to fight, but you're always gonna need a strong pair of arms to lug the cargo around. |
Qiqi |
About Qiqi Ah, Qiqi, the lovable munchkin. She's convinced that all my accidents are due to stiff joints, so whenever I'm at Bubu Pharmacy stocking up on medicine, she makes me do some stretches with her to limber me up, haha. It's easy, wanna try? Ok, after me: One, two three, four; two, two, three, four... |
Xiangling |
About Xiangling Pretty much everything Chef Xiangling cooks is a winner, but my favorite has to be her Black-Back Perch Stew. I always try to rinse off the molten lava sauce before each bite, but I'm still like "ss, ah, ss, ah" trying to cool my mouth down, hahaha! Worth every bite though, and they do generous portions - you can see why it's Wanmin's signature dish. I'll be back for my next fix soon! |
Xianyun |
About Xianyun Aunty Xianyun always has my back. Once, she saw that my Wushou head was looking a little worse for wear, and instantly said she could make, like, ten more for me, all twice my size. She was pretty insistent - it took me forever to talk her down to just remodeling the one I already had... And boy, is this an improvement! It looks way more impressive, it's much lighter, and the lion blanket constantly rustles in the air like there's an adeptal wind making it dance. I couldn't be happier with it! |
Xingqiu |
About Xingqiu The Feiyun Commerce Guild's a longtime client of the Secure Transport Agency. The older brother's the one who usually takes care of business with us, but there was one time when Xingqiu piped up with a question for me. So I start rambling away, giving him all the routes and delivery dates for all their recent orders... Turns out all he wanted to know was when the Wanwen Bookhouse is getting their next delivery in, hahaha... |
Xinyan |
About Xinyan Xinyan's music is fire! No pun intended. Man Chai goes crazy for it - always gets him moshing away like a mad gremlin. I'd love to do a joint show together one day. "Roaring Beasts: A Rock 'N' Roll Wushou Dance." Whaddya think, has it got legs? |
Yun Jin |
About Yun Jin Yun Jin's a huge inspiration to me! Everyone agrees that she's a fantastic singer, from the experts to the casual listener. Incredible. If the Mighty Mythical Beasts ever get half as successful as the Yun-Han Opera Troupe... don't pinch me, 'cause I won't wanna wake up! |
Zhongli |
About Zhongli Mr. Zhongli seems like the kind of guy who had an expensive education. Seems like whenever I make a delivery to a teahouse or opera house, he's always there drinking tea, listening to the storyteller, and looking like the smartest guy in the room. Dude, I once overheard him talking to someone about tea - I was like, man, if he ever got talking to my dad, that conversation would go on all night... |
