Echoes of the Ancient World Walkthrough

Look for Carabosse

Look for Carabosse in the underwater area of the A Very Bright Place. It's the same location where you saved Puca during the A Gradient of Dreams and Ochre Quest. As you swim forward, you'll see Carabosse, with the musican, Topyas.

Go to the sealed cave

After talking to Carabosse and Topyas about the potion and the Melody of Vesta, go to the sealed cave, located in front of Puca's house, underneath the Merusea Village.

Look for a way to break the seal

Once you've taken the Truesight Potion, look for a way to break the seal on the cave. You'll notice that there are three crystal mechanisms now floating by the wall. Simply hit them all, until they all turn from blue to gold, to break the seal!

Find the lost score

After breaking the seal, talk to Topyas about that happened. Then, swim toward the Fontaine Current by the cave, and find the lost score at the end of the tunnel. The Melody of Vesta is located to your right, just past the boulder!

Get back ashore

After retrieving the Melody of Vesta, get back ashore by hitting the fragile boulder to your left. Absorb the Xenochromatic Ability of the nearby Armored Crab to do this!

Talk to Katheryne

After you surface out from the water, talk to Topyas about the music score. Unfortunately, she doesn't know yet how to read it. Talk to Katheryne in the Court of Fontaine to post a commission to find someone who can read the score.

Talk to Topyas

Fortunately, the music scholar Tailleferre is within earshot as you tell Katheryne about the Melody of Vesta. Tailleferre tells you that the score is of Remurian origin, and that only a conch instrument can play it. Talk to Topyas about this back to her house!

Place the token

After discussing with Topyas what to do next, place the Token on the top orifice of the Conch Harp.

Use the Xenochromatic Armored Crab's Ability to unleash shockwaves at the Conch Harp

Then, use the Xenochromatic Armored Crab's ability to unleash shockwaves at the Conch Harp to activate it! Keep in mind that you must hit the Conch Harp at the orifice located somewhere in the middle portion of it, otherwise nothing's gonna happen!

Clear out the creatures dwelling within the Conch Harp

Once the Conch Harp is activated, a bunch of Armored Crab enemies will spawn out from it. Simply eliminate all of the enemies, and admire the Conch Harp's performance through Topyas!
