The Sea of Bygone Eras is a sub-region located in a separate space from Teyvat, similar to Enkanomiya. It's entrance can be found in the Nostoi Region's underground ruins, the Faded Castle that was once part of the Kingdom of Remuria.

How to Use the Map Function

Travel and View Locations

Genshin - Open Map Through Mini-Map or Menu
Genshin Impact's map function lets you view all available regions in the game. You can open the map by pressing the M shortcut on your keyboard, clicking the Mini-map, or going to the Paimon Main Menu and selecting Map!

Multi-Layer Maps and Areas

Genshin - Layered Maps
When viewing certain parts of the map, you may get layer icons on the right side of the screen. This indicates lower or underground layers that you can click through and view.

On the lower right side of the Map, you can open a list of regions and areas and navigate to those areas easier.

Toggle Map Icon Settings

Genshin - Toggle Map Settings
Once on the map, you can select the settings icon on the lower left side and toggle to show or hide your Custom Pins, Genius Invokation NPC Duels or 'Players,' or to only view Domains.

Travel Using Teleport Waypoints

One of the main functions of the Map is to let you use the Teleport Waypoints, Statues of the Seven, and Domains to quickly teleport to another part of the map!

Mark Locations with Custom Map Pins

Genshin - Custom Map Pins
Players can use up to 200 custom pins that they can place anywhere on the map to act as personal markers! They can be used to mark things such as Fishing Spots, puzzles you want to come back to, preferred ore mining, or local specialty farming locations!

Track Locations in the Mini-Map

Genshin - Track Your Position
Part of the regular game interface is the Mini-Map on the upper left side of the screen. This Mini-Map shows your player character's current position and is meant to help you navigate your location.
