Is Hydro Traveler Good?

Unless Fontaine releases more characters that could help their kit, Hydro Traveler is not a good character to build for. As an extremely potent element, Hydro should arguably be their best version. However, their kit leaves much to be desired.

How to Build Hydro Traveler

The Hydro Traveler can be built as a Sub-DPS with the usual Hydro DMG bonus and CRIT stats. You can choose between ATK or HP depending on which piece has better sub-stats.

You can also build the Hydro Traveler as a Bloom Driver with a lot of Elemental Mastery stats and the Flower of Paradise Lost to deal a lot of Bloom reaction DMG

Recommended Energy Recharge ±180% Total Energy Recharge

This Sub DPS build for Hydro Traveler lets you take advantage on increasing the damage of their Elemental Skill on Hydro-related reactions except Bloom. Using the Golden Troupe won't benefit your Burst, but the damage potential of your Skill compensates the loss.

You may also use another 2-piece of Heart of Depth if you wish to balance the Burst damage.

If you wish to use Hydro Traveler for Bloom Teams, build Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge to increase their efficiency in creating bloom cores.

Note that the Hydro Traveler's Burst travels in a straight line with a short duration, so it's unreliable to use as your sole Hydro applicator.

The Hydro Traveler's Elemental Skill should be prioritized as their main damaging ability. Elemental Burst can be good to level up, but its unreliability means that you can only use it
