How to Unlock Dragonspine

You can enter Dragonspine without needing to start Albedo's Story Quest, Princeps Cretaceus, which means you can explore it freely as soon as you're ready!

How to Unlock Statue of the Seven

Dragonspine only has one Statue of the Seven, which reveals all of the major locations in the map. Here's how you can unlock it:

Get the Scarlet Quartz Near the Statue

To break the ice surrounding the statue, you need to get a piece of Scarlet Quartz nearby to break the protective barrier.

Hit the Ice and Unlock!

Once you have the Scarlet Quartz piece, all you need to do is to strike the ice and you can activate the Statue!

Unlocking the statue also gives you the Continental Explorer: Dragonspine achievement!

Dragonspine Release Date

Dragonspine is a region added in the 1.2 Update. This was the first new region that was introduced in the game after Mondstadt and Liyue.

The Frostbearing Tree

Similar to the Statues of the Seven scattered through out Teyvat, the Frostbearing Tree takes offerings of a special ore, Crimson Agate, in exchange for many useful rewards including craftable Weapon Blueprints.

Crimson Agates are used to upgrade the Frostbearing Tree, much like Anemoculus are used to upgrade Statues of the Seven!

Dragonspine Domain

Peak of Vindagnyr

One domain exists in Dragonspine, the Peak of Vindagnyr Domain. Challenging the domain gives rewards, including two unique Artifact sets, the Heart of Depth and the Blizzard Strayer sets. To unlock it, you need to unseal the area around it by solving various puzzles around Dragonspine or follow the quest In the Mountains.

Blizzard Strayer	2-Piece: Cryo DMG Bonus +15% 4-Piece: When a character attacks an enemy affected by Cryo, their CRIT Rate is increased by 20%. If the enemy is Frozen, CRIT Rate is increased by an additional 20%.
Heart of Depth	2-Piece: Hydro DMG Bonus +15% 4-Piece: After using Elemental Skill, increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 30% for 15s.

Sheer Cold	Heat Sources

Sheer Cold Effect (Subzero Climate)

Once this gauge fills up, your health goes down!

Unlike other regions in the map, exploring Dragonspine will give your characters the Sheer Cold status. Here's what it will do:

Sheer Cold Effects
- The Sheer Cold status will accumulate rapidly in Subzero Climate. - Characters will quickly lose HP once the Sheer Cold Meter reaches its limit. - Some gadgets will be unusable in this climate. - Certain actions and environments will increase the rate at which Sheer Cold accumulates.

Be sure to keep warm while exploring the harsh cold by ocassionally staying close to sources of warmth! This will help slow down the Sheer Cold effect, and allow you to explore much longer.

Note that the Statue of the Seven and Teleport Waypoints can also be a source of warmth in Dragonspine!

The Warming Bottle and the Goulash can also reduce the rate of Sheer Cold!

Dragonspine is an icy mountainous environment filled with Cryo enemies that aim to freeze you as much as possible.

Always Bring a Pyro Character

Be sure to have at least one Pyro Character in your line-up, as Melt and Overload effects are key to winning fights more effectively.

Pyro characters are also useful for lighting up torches and bonfires to recover from the Sheer Cold Effect!
