Hyperbloom is an elemental reaction in Genshin Impact that is triggered when Electro hits Dendro Cores. See how to trigger Hyperbloom, best characters to trigger it, and the best teams for this elemental reaction!
Hyperbloom is the reaction that happens when Dendro Cores created from Bloom are hit with Electro. These cores then turn into Sprawing Shots, which home on the nearby enemies to deal an increased Dendro damage in a comparatively smaller AoE.
Dendro Element and Reactions Guide
Nilou is a unit when it comes to Bloom teams, however, any team with her around won't be able to trigger Hyperbloom since Bountiful Cores that she create can't do Hyperbloom.
The final (base) DMG computation of Hyperbloom scales with Elemental Mastery, which means you'll have to load up your Electro unit with EM stats to make Hyperbloom strong.
In special cases where Electro is Swirled by an Anemo unit, the Hyperbloom damage is inherited from the Anemo unit's EM, and not the Electro's!
To trigger Hyperbloom, you must create a Bloom reaction first. Simply apply Dendro or Hydro on any unit that has already either of the two elements.
Once the Dendro Cores are in the field, simply hit them with Electro. Electro units who have an AoE skill are far more effective than those who have skills that lock on enemies, since the cores don't move and only spawn where Bloom happened.
This means, skills like Beidou's discharge are less likely to hit the cores, and are therefore ineffective with Hyperbloom teams!
Nahida is a staple in most Dendro-teams because of her excellent Dendro application, and Elemental Mastery-scaling. This makes her an extremely versatile unit in Hyperbloom teams where she can act as a driver, or the main DPS of the team!

Nahida Best Builds and Weapons
Raiden Shogun in Hyperbloom teams is an excellent Electro unit who can detonate Dendro Cores into Sprawing Shots. Despite being built far-differently from her usual DPS build, this EM-scaling Raiden doesn't shy away from providing damage for your team!
And since the weapon that has the highest EM-stat in the game is Dragon's Bane, Raiden can effectively make use of it to increase her EM, thereby increasing Hyperbloom damage in return!

Kuki Shinobu is another exceptional Electro unit who scales with EM, and can provide decent healing for the team. Her elemental skill radiates around your active character in a small AoE, which means she's excellent in Hyperbloom teams with close quarters potential!

Alhaitham is an outstanding Dendro character who leverages on infusing his normal and charged attacks with Dendro. This enables him to constantly apply the element and trigger Bloom, while dishing out high-damage to enemies!

Kokomi is one of the best Hydro characters in the game who can effectively bring Dendro-teams such as Hyperbloom to the next level. Since she's one of the best characters to bring in a Bloom team, it goes without saying she's as effective in Hyperbloom teams!

Baizhu's role in Hyperbloom teams is a utility support who helps create Dendro Cores with the Hydro character. And thru his ascension passive, Baizhu also takes Hyperbloom damage to the next level by buffing it based on his HP!

Xingqiu is a must-have for DPS who rely on their normal attacks, or drivers to efficiently trigger a reaction. In Hyperbloom teams, Xingqiu works exactly that way, helping the Dendro character to create Dendro Cores!

Yelan works similarly with Xingqiu, in terms of their kit, but Yelan excels in providing more DMG buffs because of her ascension passives!

Kazuha is an incredible Anemo unit who breaks what transformative reactions can do, and works stupidly simple in Hyperbloom teams.
And since he scales with EM, and provides elemental DMG bonus to the team, Kazuha can further buff Electro to increase Hyperbloom damage!

This Nahida-Raiden team is easily one of the best Hyperbloom teams for being extremely well-rounded and versatile. Raiden acts as as the main-DPS of the team by triggering the Hyperbloom reaction, while Kokomi and Nahida sets up Bloom.
Kazuha synergizes well with everyone in this team for controlling enemies, and swirling Electro whenever possible, and by acting as Raiden's right-hand unit!

This variant of the Nahida-Raiden team replaces Kazuha and Kokomi with Yelan and Fischl, to act as units who will support Nahida, and act as the team's battery, respectively.
Nahida also becomes the main-DPS and Dendro-driver of the team, while Raiden still helps activating cores. Since this team is more focused with normal attacks, Yelan and Fischl can help Nahida trigger other reactions like Quicken, aside from Hyperbloom!

This Alhaitham-Raiden Hyperbloom team works similarly with the second variant of the Nahida-Raiden team, in that it's a normal attack-focused team that can constantly trigger Hyperbloom, alongside Quicken reactions, when the rotation is done properly.
The only caveat of this team is that you'll have to actively trigger Bloom for the cores, otherwise Alhaitham and Raiden will just keep on triggering Quicken!
