Duels are the main mechanic of the Genius Invokation TCG released in Version 3.3. After collecting cards and building your own deck, you can fight against NPCs decks to earn rewards, collect more cards, and level up!

How to Fight NPCs in Open World Matches

After completing the Beginner's Tutorial quest, players can find different NPCs in the open world who can be challenged to a Duel. You can use the Casket of Tomes to locate these Character Players on the map.

The higher your Player Level, the more Open World Matches you can unlock. Winning these matches and completing the objectives give you various rewards!

How to Fight NPCs in Weekly Guest Challenges

Every week, a maximum of 4 different characters will be available at The Cat's Tail for Weekly Guest Challenges! These challenges will award Travelers with Player EXP and Coins once completed.

How to Complete Ascension Challenges

After reaching certain Player Levels, you will be met with Ascension Challenges. The Player Level cap will not be raised until you complete the Ascension Challenge. Talk to Prince at The Cat's Tail to begin the challenge!

After reaching Player Level 3, Travelers can unlock Tavern Challenges. These are Adventure Challenges that can be accessed by talking to Prince at The Cat's Tail and starting a Tavern Card Challenge.

How to Duel Against Playable Characters

Use the Invitation Board inside The Cat's Tavern to invite playable characters like Diluc or Fischl to a duel! To invite a character on the Player List for the first time, you must send them a Match Invitation Letter.
