How to Unlock Xianyun Story Quest

Obtain the Prerequisites

How to Unlock	Story Key x1 Reach Adventure Rank 40 Complete Archon Quest Interlude Chapter: Act I "The Crane Returns on the Wind"

You can unlock Act 1 of Grus Serena's Chapter by using one Story Key! You must also be at least Adventure Rank 40. Travelers must have also completed The Crane Returns on the Wind to unlock it!

Story Key Required

A Story Key is usually needed to unlock a Story Quest. Like most characters, Xianyun will need Story Keys to unlock her quest.

To get 1 Story Key, you need to do 8 Daily Commissions and be at Adventure Rank 26. Since there are only 4 Commissions in a day, you will need a minimum of 2 days to get 1 Story Key.

To start Xianyun's story quest act 1, you must first complete the Interlude Chapter Act 1 - The Crane Returns on the Wind archon quest!

Leisurely Chatter

	Objectives
1	Visit Mt. Aocang to see Cloud Retainer. You will see her there in her human form.
2	Go to Liyue Harbor to meet Ganyu in front of the Yuehai Pavilion. Talk to her to share your recent adventures as well as a story about a drought that Cloud Retainer has resolved. Cloud Retainer will also take the name Xianyun at this part of the story as her human name.
3	Go to Wanmin Restaurant next to see Shenhe. She will tell you a story about how Cloud Retainer raced with another Adeptus using her "Electro-Powered Bicycle" or the "Bi-Cyclical Thunderflash-Mobile".
4	After your talk with Shenhe, you will meet Shuyu and Yuandai. Speak and help them with their problem. This will end the Leisurely Chatter subquest and automatically start the A Search for Secrets subquest.

A Search for Secrets

	Objectives
1	Look for Xingqiu at the Feiyun Commerce Guild to ask about any stories regarding Yuandai's story.
2	Meet up with Cloud Retainer and Madame Ping before looking for clues. Follow Shuyu nearby once you get there as she has a question regarding Cloud Retainer.
3	Go to Wangshu Inn next. You will meet Xiao briefly and tell you some stories from the Archon War. Yuandai and Shuyu will return after that and tell you about what she remembered.
4	Next is to head to the northern part of Jueyun Karst to search for more clues. There are three places marked on the map, but the one at the southwest part from the nearest Teleport Waypoint is the right place.
5	Yuandai will recover a few more of her memories after going to the quest marker located from the southwest of the Teleport Waypoint. Move to Qingyun Peak after the conversation for the next clue.
6	Upon arriving at Qingyun Peak, it seems it's not the right spot but the mountain next to it, which is Mt. Aocang. The subquest will end after this and unlock the Lovely Dreams subquest.

Lovely Dreams

	Objectives
1	Go to Mt. Aocang to use the device Cloud Retainer has prepared. Use the updraft and rings to reach Mt. Aocang quickly.
2	Finish the converstaion and uncover the truth about Yuandai. Cloud Retainer will eventually tell the story about her and Yuandai.
3	Follow the quest marker until you reach the dock with a view of the Wangshu Inn and listen to Cloud Retainer.
4	Continue following the quest marker. Use her skill twice to perform a double jump on the gaps to get to the next area without falling.
5	Defeat waves of enemies once you reach the Yuandai's old house. Remember to use her skil and burst to kill enemies quickly and recover health.
6	Follow the markers again until you reach Yuandai's current house in Liyue Harbor. Listen to Cloud Retainer until her story ends.
7	Skip two days and meet with Cloud Retainer back in Liyue. She will be living there with Shuyu after taking her as a disciple.
8	You will find her there having trouble selling her wares to a merchant. Zhongli will appear as a consultant for the merchant and vouch for Cloud Retainer's items. Xianyun Story Quest will end after the whole conversation.
