Northwest of the Basin of Unnumbered Flames

The Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant's location is northwest of the Basin of Unnumbered Flames, inside the Huitztli Hill!

The easiest way to locate the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant is to unlock the Statue of the Seven in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames and follow the road toward the Huitztli Hill.

How to Get to the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant

Follow the Road Northwest From the Statue of the Seven

To get to the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant, you must unlock the Statue of the Seven in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames. After that you can follow the road northwest until you reach the boss arena entrance on the foot of Huitztli Hill.

The Statue of the Seven in the Basin of Unnumbered Flames is the second nearest statue from the starting point of Natlan.

How to Beat the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant

Destroy the Flamewind Feather

When the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant changes into its Golden Flame form and hover above the arena, it will launch a Flamewind Feather to the ground. The Qucusaur will dive into it after a while and release a Phlogiston Current.

To stop this attack, you must destroy the Flamewind Feather using elements that react with Pyro before the Qucusaur dives. Hydro attacks will work best in destroying the feather and preventing the follow up attack.

How to Destroy the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant's Shield

Use Hydro Attacks

Once it changes to its Golden Flame form, the Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant will gain a Pyro shield that you need to destroy to bring it back down. You will need to attack it with elements that react with Pyro, preferably Hydro, to destroy the shield.

The faster you destroy the shield, the longer the Qucusaur Tyrant will become incapacitated once the shield is depleted.
