With her high mobility, self-healing, and focus on Electro reactions, Clorinde offers flexible team building with great damage as long as you have a well-built team for her. Unlike most traditional Main DPS units, she is better read as an elemental on-field driver for her off-field supports.

On paper, Clorinde's raw personal damage is considered average compared to most DPS characters, but her actual performance is in consideration with the team she's partied with. Thanks to her passive, she excels better the more your party can trigger most Electro-related reactions, especially the ever-relevant Hyperbloom, Aggravate, and Overloaded (with Chevreuse), so pick whichever team would offer more team damage for you in a given situation.

Her issues lie with her own kit, as while she is self-sufficient with her self-heals, she's also greatly susceptible to interruptions, especially while on her Elemental Skill. Losing her uptime, which is already incredibly strict and short, will feel bad if you don't have some manner of protection from shields, or if you deviate from her rotations to dodge on sustainless teams.

Clorinde's best build is similar to Standard DPS characters despite her Bond of Life mechanics, so focusing on CRIT Stats and ATK for Standard Electro and CRIT and Elemental Mastery for Aggravate should be your goal.

The builds between Standard and Aggravate remain the same, with the only difference being your choice in whether your Sands is ATK or Elemental Mastery.

Clorinde Talent Priority

Clorinde's Elemental Skill should be the main priority due to it being the source of most of her damage, with her Elemental Burst following up as the second priority due to its Burst DMG scaling.

Clorinde's Normal Attacks can be saved for last or even left unleveled as her Elemental Skill damage scales with her Elemental Skill talent. Her Elemental Skill is still considered Normal Attack DMG, but this only means that Clorinde's attacks during her skill are able to proc effects like Fischl's Oz.

Clorinde Combat Rotations

All-In Rotation

Using her Elemental Burst allows her to apply a degree of Burst DMG to her opponents, before using her Elemental Skill and applying a second instance of burst DMG through a fully-charged Impale the Night.

This is typically done after her supports are done setting up to ensure that Clorinde has maximum effectiveness during her Elemental Skill's uptime.

Standard DPS Rotation

Clorinde's standard Burstless rotation consists of her supports going before her, followed up by Clorinde casting her Elemental Skill and weaving attacks between Swift Hunt and Impale the Night.

Clorinde will typically get 3 - 4 Swift Hunt Normal Attacks attacks off before needing to use her Elemental Skill to cleanse it all with Impale the Night.

Clorinde's Empowered Normal Attacks, Swift Hunt, lets her fire her Pistolet in front of her for damage based on how low her Bond of Life stacks are, and gives her Bond of Life stacks per shot.

At its full power, her Pistol shots deal bonus damage and pierce through enemies. This lasts until she has accumulated enough Bond of Life to weaken her Swift Hunt attacks.

Elemental Skill Clears Bond of Life

Clorinde's Elemental Skill turns into Impale the Night, allowing her to dash forward, dealing damage to enemies in her path and clearing any Bond of Life stacks on her.

When she has a high amount of Bond of Life at the time of usage, this empowers Impale the Night, dealing more damage and increasing the damage AoE of the dash.

Champion Duelist in Fontaine

As one of Fontaine's Champion Duelists, she is responsible for giving the guilty a last chance at survival by defending themselves in combat.

She works closely with Iudex Neuvillette, and previously the Hydro Archon in criminal cases, serving as both a protector and an executioner.

Defeated Navia's Father in a Duel

Navia's father, Callas, was falsely imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Rather than prove his innocence, Callas requested a duel and Clorinde was his opponent.

Clorinde won and Callas was fatally wounded in battle. Before his death, Clorinde promised Callas that she will protect Navia.

Could this be the secret behind her famously undefeated track record in the Duelists' Ring? Ah, I'd love to spring that question on her one day... but I don't think I'll get the chance. She's publicly stated that she doesn't accept interviews.
Chevreuse	Clorinde has built quite the reputation for herself in Fontaine as a Champion Duelist. Our positions are different, so I'm not at liberty to make any comments about her work. But I trust that she takes on those duels out of her own sense of justice.
