Types of Weapon Enhancement

Ways to Raise your Weapon

Level Up Increases basic attack power.
Ascending Increases weapon's maximum level cap.
Significantly increases attack power.
Refining Increases weapon effectiveness and enhances skills.

For Weapon Ascension, it may also improve your weapon's sub stat. This makes some weapons extremely strong it goes through multiple ascensions.

How to Level Up Weapons

Procedure

Select Inventory from the menu.

Choose the weapon to level up and tap "Details" on the lower right corner.

Select "Enhance" on the upper left corner.

Choose your materials to be added in the lower right corner.

Tap "Enhance" to complete the process.

Select Up toTwenty Materials

Genshin - Level Up Materials

After Version 1.6, you can select up to twenty materials to enhance your weapons, whether it is Enhancement Ores or other weapons.

How to Ascend Weapons

Select Inventory from the menu.

Choose the weapon to ascend and tap "Details" on the lower right corner.

Select "Ascend" on the upper left corner.

Ensure you have the corresponding materials, before proceeding.

Tap "Ascend" to complete the process.

How to Refine Weapons

Select Inventory from the menu.

Choose the weapon to refine and tap "Details" on the lower right corner.

Select "Refine" on the upper left corner.

Select the duplicate weapon to fodder off.

Tap "Refine" to complete the process.

Note: Refinement Consumes Duplicate Weapons

Weapon refinement requires duplicate copies of weapons. So if you have rare weapons in your inventory that you want to refine, think carefully before foddering them off.

How to Get Weapon Enhancement Materials

Obtain Ores by Forging

Genshin Impact - Ores

Weapon Refinement Ores can be obtained from the blacksmith shops in cities like Mondstadt and Liyue. You can mine Iron Chunks, White Iron Chunks, and Crystal Chunks in the wild and bring them to the blacksmith for processing.

How to Get Weapon Ascension Materials

Genshin Impact - Weapon Ascension Materials

Weapon Ascension Materials can be obtained from enemy drops, Domains, and from the Souvenir Shop. You can also craft them in the Crafting Table.

Obtain Weapon Duplicates by Forging or through Gacha

Genshin - Epitome Invocation Banner

4-star weapons can be forged in the blacksmith shop as well, or obtained from rolling the gacha.

Is there a page / guide to seeing what weapons use what level up / ascension materials? I get really confused about which materials i need to farm for which weapon
