Grunt Work Walkthrough and Objectives

Main Objectives

1. Speak to Crew Chief Herath at New Atlantis Airport
2. Travel to Tau Cetti II and make contact with the settlers
3. Investigate the Scream
4. Speak to the woman
5. Restore the Security System Connection
6. Allow Hadrian to analyze the system
7. Tune the Livestock Tracker to 183.5
8. Wait for the system to reengage
9. Kill the Terrormorph
10. Collect the Terrormorph Tissue Sample
11. Return to Hadrian
12. Return to Commander Tuala

1. Speak to Crew Chief Herath at New Atlantis Airport

Go to New Atlantis Airport via the train and talk to Herath to know more about your mission. Go to your ship after the briefing and prepare to take off.

2. Travel to Tau Ceti II and Make Contact with the Settlers

Travel to Tau Ceti system and land on Tau Ceti II planet. Once there, follow the marker and pass through the ruined facility. You can still search inside and take some medpacks and weapons. You might need it later in the quest!

3. Investigate the Scream

You will hear a scream as you continue heading to the next building. Keep going to the building until your comms picks up a signal from someone.

4. Speak to the Woman

Go inside and speak to the woman named Hadrian. She will tell you about the situation and the "Terrormorph" that attacked the settlement. She will ask you to restore the Security System Connection to possibly take out the Terrormorph and get a tissue sample from it.

5. Restore the Security System Connection

Head to the security control system and restore the connection. Select the Security System Connection Status from the terminal and reset the connection.

6. Allow Hadrian to Analyze the System

Wait for Hadrian to analyze the system. You can check out the area and loot items while waiting for further instructions.

7. Tune the Livestock Tracker to 183.5

Hadrian will tell you to change the Livestock Tracker to 183.5. You can do it on the terminal in the next room right next to a dead body. Tuning it on that channel will allow you to track the Terrormorph and know your distance between it.

8. Wait for the System to Reengage

Wait again for a few seconds for the system to reengage. The Terrormorph will apear at this point so try not to make unneccessary movement and sound to avoid being detected.

9. Kill the Terrormorph

Kill the Terrormorph to get a sample so Hadrian can analyze it. You can confront it directly, but it is best to run around the facillity, let the turrets damage it, and restore the power to the Kill Lanes to help ease combat.

(Optional) Restore Power to the Kill Lanes

You can restore power to the Kill Lanes to help you with the fight against the Terrormorph. You can do that by interacting with the terminals marked by the quest marker.

Once the power is restored, bait the Terrormorph near the Kill Lanes and defeat it there.

10. Collect the Terrormorph Tissue Sample

Loot the body of the Terrormorph and collect a tissue sample. You can also loot some other items from it's body and use them to craft or sell them to traders.

11. Return to Hadrian

Return to Hadrian after getting a tissue sample from the Terrormorph. Follow her to analyze the sample, but she will fail since the Research Station is an old model. She will then ask you to try and get permission to help with this research from your direct supervisor.

12. Return to Commander Tuala

Go back to Commander Tuala to report the situation and the success of your mission. You will then receive your rewards and unlock two faction quests, Delivering Devils and Deep Cover.
