Whether used for combat, hunting, or some other deadly purpose, the rifle has become a mainstay of Settled Systems weaponry.

How to Unlock Rifle Certification

Spend 4 Skill Points in the Combat Tree

As Rifle Certification is a higher-tier Advanced skill, it is unlocked by spending a total of 4 skill points in the Combat skill tree before it can be learned.

Rank Challenge Effects
1 Spend a total of 4 Skill Points in the Combat tree. Rifles do 10% more damage.
2 Kill 20 enemies with a rifle. Rifles do 20% more damage.
3 Kill 50 enemies with a rifle. Rifles do 30% more damage.
4 Kill 100 enemies with a rifle. Reload rifles 30% faster while you're standing still.

You can easily complete the rank challenges by killing any hostile enemy with the many available rifles in the game.

You can farm enemy kills by doing Bounty Missions, going from one point of interest to another, or killing fauna. Note that some locations will have the enemies respawn after waiting for around 300 UT hours.
