Run the Red Mile Walkthrough and Objectives

Main Objectives

  1. Wait for Mei's Announcement
  2. Activate the Red Mile Beacon
  3. Return to Mei

1. Wait for Mei's Announcement

Starfield - Mei Devine Announcement

Talk to Mei Devine and tell her that you're willing to run the Red Mile. Wait for her to go up the stage to make an announcement to the patrons and guests regarding your challenge to take on the Red Mile.

2. Activate the Red Mile Beacon

How to Activate the Red Mile Beacon
1 Enter the Red Mile Elevator
2 Sprint Towards the Tower
3 Activate the Beacon

Enter the Red Mile Doors

Starfield - Enter the Red Mile

Go through the Red Mile doors and proceed to the elevator that takes you down to the beginning of the challenge. It might be best to first stock up on ammo and some aid and recovery items first before leaving.

Sprint Towards the Tower

Starfield - Sprint Across the Red Mile

Once the elevator doors open, make your way towards the tower located on a mountain at the end of the Red Mile trail. You will encounter a lot of vicious animals known as Maulers along the way that will attack you relentlessly.

The good news is, you can bring your weapons with you during the run to defend yourself from harm.

You can use any movement speed-enhancing consumables such as the Runner's Rush or an Amp to move and recover O2 faster.

Activate the Beacon

Starfield - Activate the Beacon at the Tower

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, activate the beacon at the base of the tower. Be careful as some Maulers will come charging towards you after this as the beacon tends to attract unwanted attention.

3. Return to Mei

Starfield - Return to Mei Devine After the Red Mile

Sprint back to the elevator and return to Mei Devine. She'll be impressed that you made it back alive and will compensate you with 3300 credits for completing the run.

Completing the Run 28 More Times

Once you complete the course 28 more times, you'll be the player with the highest score. Mei will reward you with a unique weapon named Desperation, and a Mounted Red Mile Apex, a decoration for your outposts.
