1. Wait 24 Hours (UT) to Talk to Keoni Alpin

Pass the time either by exploring or waiting by sitting down or lying down on a bed.

2. Check in with Keoni Alpin

Talk to Keoni to learn more about her situation with Davis.

3. Talk to Davis Wilson

Talk to Davis and let him know about Keoni's concern. Accompany him once you have stocked up on weapons and ammo to proceed with the quest.

4. Follow Davis

Follow Davis to track the bigger and faster Ashta he's looking for.

5. Defeat the Ashta

Once the Alpha Ashta attacks, fight back and kill it as fast as you can. Since it is an organic lifeform, use Ballistic Weapons!

(Optional) Make Sure Davis Wilson Survives

Protect Davis Wilson as you fight the Alpha Ashta. Take the front and make sure he's far away so the Ashta will target you instead.

6. Talk to Davis

If you managed to keep Davis alive, speak to him after defeating the Alpha Ashta. Finish the dialogue and return to Keoni to report what happened.

7. Talk to Keoni

Talk to Keoni and inform her that her data led to the discovery of the Alpha Ashta. She will then hand you the Despondent Assassin, which is a Legendary Rifle!

Making Sure Davis Survives

The best outcome for this quest is to help Davis fight and defeat the Alpha Ashta and ensure he survives. While it won't change the rewards you get from this quest, it yields the most positive outcome, as Keoni will be happy, and Davis is alive and kicking.

Letting Davis Die

Leaving Davis to die will make Keoni sad, and there will be no one to patrol the surrounding areas again to prevent another Ashta attack (lore-wise) in Akila City. It is probably the worst outcome you can choose, even though you will still get the same rewards when you finish this quest.
