Aldumite zones appear as Purple-colored areas on the resource map.

Aldumite (Ad) is a unique resource that becomes viewable from the resource map once you have ranked up the Scanning skil to Lvl. 4 under the Science skill tree.

Like other resources, Aldumite (Ad) can be found in deposits which can be extracted with a Cutter. Once on the planet's surface, use your hand scanner to look for these deposits in Aldumite-rich zones on the planet.
