Exclusive to the Kid Stuff Trait

Starfield - Kid Stuff
Kid Stuff 		Your parents are alive and well, and you can visit them at their home. But you will automatically send 2% of your credits home to them every week.

To find your parents in Starfield, you’ll need to select the Kid Stuff trait. This background adds a personal touch: your character has living parents you can visit. It comes with a small cost: You automatically send 2% of your credits to your parents every week. But in return, you unlock a unique gear and other rewards and charming interactions that no other trait offers.

Starfield - Where to Find Parents Note
After completing the main quest One Small Step, your father will send you a note asking to meet, usually after you’ve rested or spent some in-game time exploring. Keep an eye on your activity log or inventory for his message. This kicks off your Kid Stuff storyline in earnest and opens up the chance to visit your parents in New Atlantis.

After getting your father’s note, set a course for New Atlantis on Jemison in the Alpha Centauri System. Head to the Residential District and find Pioneer Tower - it's a sleek, modern building where your parents live.

Take the elevator up; thanks to the Kid Stuff trait, you’ll have access to a unique floor with their apartment. Step inside to trigger your first meeting with them.
