You are correct. It's available only after completing "All That Money Can Buy" and only if you complete it in diplomatic fashion. Stats-wise, the biggest difference betwen the 6830 and 6330 is that the SAL-6830 has 8,800 maneuvering thrust vs 7,800 for the SAL-6330, which is how all those youtubers get 100 mobility on their massive ships.

    The SAL-6830 is better

The best ship engine is the SAL-6330. The weight-thrust ratio is better than the Poseidon's and it only comes at a 2 Reactor Point cost, meaning it's more modular. I use 5 of these and I can achieve 95 mobility with 3000 Cargo and 3350 Mass.

In addition to this multiple engines have no change on max speed, only the number of energy you need to allocate to reach max speed and your mobility score. With a single 3015 you can reach a max speed of 180 with 3 energy pips. You will undoubtably have low to no mobility and turn slowly but with 4 engines you need 12 pips of energy to reach max speed but you will have more mobility so you will turn faster but you'll have the same top speed with more energy required.

Top speed seems to have nothing to do with thrust what so ever, To see this readily compare a white dwarf 3015 engine with a white dwarf 3030 engine, you will notice that the white dwarf 3030 is better in every way with a higher thrust, maneuvering and less mass however they only have a top speed of 150 where as 3015s have a top speed of 180. Your top speed will be based on the engine with the lowest top speed you have equipped with 3 engines with 180 TS and one with 150, your TS will be 150.

This list is missing a few engines. Namely the Dunn-11, SA-4110, and SAE-5110 engines.

Suggestion: Your table listing all the engines should also note whether they are a class A, B, or C engine.
