It appears the creatures hanging up in the Underbelly are chasmbass. I have yet to get 100% on either species, and I only have one level, with uncompleted challenge, in Zenobiology, so I don't know what else these creatures give.

I dropped down into the water around Neon. There is a small platform at the base of one of the supports that you can swim to to get back into the city (fast travel also works). The two fauna on the planet are Chasmbass and Hunting Sharkwale. Both are peaceful and will not attack, even if you swim up around them. I killed one of each from the platform and looted them. The Sharkwhale gave toxin and the chasmbass gave chasmbass oil (like what you can buy from Frankie).
