| Small amphibians found in their droves in the Resinmires of the Citadel's forests. Their elastic tongues are tipped with suckers used not only for hunting, but also for clinging to wood, masonry, and other creatures. A ferocious breed that will jump to devour anything, even wounded monsters. Their bodies swell when attacked, until they emit concentrated gastric acid that makes even large monsters recoil. | |||
The Thornytoad clings onto anything, including monsters, with its elastic tongue. Once they attach themselves to a monster, they swell up and release gastric acid, causing the large monster to flinch or even topple.
It is currently unknown how to get a Thornytoad to attack monsters. However, previews have shown it attacking monsters that get near it, possibly similar to how Slicercrabs attack nearby monsters.

According to its description, Thornytoads can be found in the Citadel. They are found on the swampy water at Area 13. You need to look carefully since they tend to blend in with the water.
If you get to close and they escape, don't worry! Simply give it some distance and it will come back.
