| Relatives of the Rock Lizard, these lizards can also be found in a number of locales. Unlike the Rock Lizard, they don't attach minerals to their bodies—instead, they tend to use monster scales and claws. Scale Lizards are extremely rare as they inhabit areas seldom traveled. They are prized by hunters as the materials they drop fetch a high price. | |||
How to Use Scale Lizard
Attack it for Stones and Ores
Attacking a Scale Lizard will drop stone or armor ore items. Make sure to hit it for its possible drops.
Attack it with Kunai for More Drops!
Attacking Scale Lizards with your Kunai can make them drop materials up to 3 times rather than the typical kick that only makes them drop 1 material. This trick is useful when farming for forging or upgrading materials.

I've discovered several new scale lizard locations not listed here. In summary: Shrine Ruins: Atop Ammo Mountain (North of Area 5) Frosted Islands: Ledge north of the wirebug in the far west of Area 6, where the relic record and ore deposit are. South ledge is a boulder lizard Flooded Forest: Lower Pyramid Room in South of Area 3 (the one with two Clear Prisms) I have screenshots that I have not uploaded yet, mine don't look as fancy as yours
