Official Description | |||
Small Bird Wyverns inhabiting the Jungle. Velociprey are well-known for their yellow beaks, accenting bodies of black and blue stripes. They form packs, often engaging in communal behavior. These slender creatures can and will attack with sharp movements and sharper claws, so best be on your guard to avoid the pointy ends. |

According to your Hunter's Notes, Velocipreys are only found in the Jungle, so there are no other areas you can farm them in.
It is recommended to farm Velociprey by doing the A Sinking Feeling quest since it will mark all Velocipreys in the map, and more will appear at Areas 2, 3, 5, and 7.
Similar to other small bird wyverns, Velocipreys also move in packs when hunting for prey. The pack may also coordinate its quick and snappy attacks, chomping on hunters and disrupting their movement.

Velociprey often follow the larger and more ferocious Velodrome, which acts as the leader of the pack.
So far, there has been no information that Velocidrome will make an appearance in Sunbreak, and it is rather unlikely that it will be included.
It is possible that Velociprey packs will be on its own without its leader like other returning small monsters found in Monster Hunter Rise.
In the demo, Velociprey can be spotted at the Jungle, a returning locale in Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. Velociprey can be found in packs, and attacking one will make the entire pack angry!
