You can capture an Astalos in one of the following Master Rank Quests or through a Master Rank Expedition Tour.

Capturing Astalos

Weaken it as you normally would, then trap it in a Pitfall Trap and put it to sleep with Tranq Bombs or Tranq Ammo. A Shock Trap also works against Astalos, but it will use it to charge itself up. Use it only if you have no more options.
