Settlement in the Oilwell Basin
The Oilfolk, Stonefolk, and Bonefolk tribes established Azuz, the Everforge, as a hub for blacksmithing and trade. They harness the region’s rich materials and use the Everforge to craft valuable wares. You can find Azuz east of the top-most level in the Oilwell Basin, along with the Guild’s Base Camp.

You’ll first arrive at Azuz, the Everforge, at the start of Chapter 2. To fully unlock the settlement, complete Chapter 2-1: A Looming Shadow by tracking down Maki in the Oilwell Basin.

Azuz, the Everforge, features several important Side Missions that unlock key mechanics such as Great Hunts and Material Retrieval. Advancing through the Main Missions will grant access to all available Side Missions in the settlement.

Occasionally, Maki may invite you to a special meal that grants powerful buffs, significantly enhancing your Attack, Defense, and Resistances. These meals provide twice the bonuses of regular meals and come with five total Food Skills—three fixed ones and two random selections.
Azuz, the Everforge Firespring Festival
Occurs During the Firespring Inclemency
The people of Azuz celebrates the Firespring Inclemency by initiating the Firespring Festival to produce valuable ores. Each time they do this, you can claim a portion of the materials through the Festival Shares option from Roqul which you can use to upgrade your Artian Weapons.
Aside from the cutscenes showing the festivals, you can actually see this event play out in-game during the Firespring Inclemency where Various NPCs of Azuz will start gathering at the Everforge.
Smelt Ores for More Artian Upgrade Materials
If you wish to gather more upgrade materials for your Artian Weapons, it's best to smelt them using the Smelt Ores option from Roqul. This allows you to convert spare monster parts into Artian Weapon upgrade materials.

Azuz, the Everforge, is home to five key NPCs, each offering unique services. Among them, Roqul, the Smelting Foundry NPC, can refine monster materials into Armor Spheres and ores into Artian Weapons using excess materials.
Some NPCs may require progress in certain Main Missions or Side Missions before they become available.

The number of stars determine the likelihood of getting the item given the weather conditions.
Upon completing the Aida's Apprehensions Side Mission, you'll unlock Sabar as the Material Retrieval NPC. Sabar can automatically collect up to 16 stacks of requested materials, but the yield will vary depending on the region’s weather conditions.
You can also access the Material Retrieval Menu by speaking to Nata at any Base Camp.
