| How to Beat AT Nu Udra |

|
Like its regular form, Nu Udra mostly uses fire attacks, including a powerful Flamethrower that can quickly cart unprepared hunters. It's highly recommended to aim for 20 Fire Resistance to negate Fireblight. You can increase Fire Resistance by equipping the right armor, slotting in the Fire Resistance skill, or eating meals in the Grand Hub.
New to Arch-Tempred Nu Udra is that it always has a heat terrain around it. Hunters that are close will experience health drain as if they're standing on lava even with Cool Drinks. To counter this, try to include Adaptability 2 from decorations or talismans to negate the additional damage.
Nu Udra is weakest to the water element. Some strong Water weapons include Uth Duna weapons and Water Artian weapons.

Arch-Tempered Nu Udra will always start in Area 17 of the Oilwell Basin. Try to set up camp in the nearby Area 15: Lower Strata North to save travel time.
Use the terrain to your advantage to deal extra damage to Arch-Tempered Nu Udra. One good place is Area 14, where you can drop a Falling Stalactite on it for around 3800 damage in a 4-player quest. Area 14 also has 2 Sleeptoads that can help weapons with strong waking moves like the Great Sword.
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Oil Explosion | AT Nu Udra spits out oil first before igniting it. This results in a huge explosion in the end and leaves a flaming terrain for a while. When it starts its motion, go toward its side to avoid the attack and deal some damage. You may need to equip Guard Up to block it. |
| Burrowing Flamethrower | When AT Nu Udra dives underground, it can emerge elsewhere and immediately follow up with a flamethrower. If you can position yourself to its side, you can get some hits in. |
| Swipe Attack | AT Nu Udra raises two of its tentacles and swipes quickly toward its target. |
Some of AT Nu Udra's moves can also damage you without causing any knockback. Make sure to watch your HP and recover when possible.
| Arch-Tempered Nu Udra has the same weaknesses as a regular Nu Udra. |
