Master's Touch grants a whopping x5 multiplier to a weapon's effective sharpness, as long as it has 100% Affinity.

However, the sharpness multiplier matches Razor Sharp 3 at 62.5% affinity. If your build's average affinity is 63% or higher, Master's Touch is more effective skill to use. Otherwise, Razor Sharp 3 will give have more effective sharpness.

Master's Touch vs Razor Sharp

Master's Touch is recommended for weapons that have very high or max Affinity and a good chunk of base white sharpness.

Razor Sharp only 63% -

The table above shows the Affinity requirement for Master's Touch to match the effective sharpness of Razor Sharp 3 and Handicraft 1. The affinity needed decreases with more base white sharpness.

For example, if you're using an Artian Weapon with one Sharpness Boost (total of 50 white sharpness) and have at least 73% Affinity, Master's Touch is the optimal choice.

Note: You can get both Razor Sharp 3 and Handicraft 1 with the Rzr Sharp/Handicraft Jwl [3] Decoration.

Master's Touch does not affect or interact with the special sharpness granted by Bladescale Honing. This special sharpness provides a fixed sharpness bar, with the number of hits required to deplete it depending on the weapon.
