Samin's Research Report (Cont.) Walkthrough

Main Objectives
1	Capture a Rime Beetle ┗ Capture the Beetle with a Net ▶︎ How to Catch Endemic Life Creatures

Capture a Rime Beetle

1	Talk to Samin at the Base Camp to initiate the quest and gain information about the Rime Beetle.
2	Head to the Iceshard Cliffs which is the main biome where you can find the Rime Beetles.
3	The Rime Beetle can easily be found on the map, to easily find one, head to Area 7 to find and capture one and complete the mission. ┗ How to Capture the Rime Beetle ▶︎How to Catch Endemic Life Creatures
4	Return to Samin and report to complete the quest. He can be found in the Base Camp in Area 1 of the Windward Plains inside a hut eastern side of the Base Camp.

How to Capture the Rime Beetle

You can find the Rime Beetle in the Iceshard Cliffs around Area 2. Be sure to use the Capture Net instead of interacting with it. Interacting with it will shoot the beetle away which will allow you to get a slinger ammo instead.

The main prerequisite of the mission is to complete its precursor quest Dareel's Research Report (Cont.). You will also need to complete the New Ecosystems Mission in Chapter 4. You can find Dareel on the upper right section of the Windward Plains Base Camp.
