List of Contents
Preload is now live for all users on all platforms including Xbox, PC, and PS5. Be sure to preload the game to avoid extended download times on launch!
A post from the official Japanese Monster Hunter Wilds X/twitter account has confirmed that while physical copies of the game will require an additional 15GB download for a Day One Patch, the same patch will already be included in the preload for players with digital versions of the game.
Xbox and PC players will be able to preload on February 25, 2025 at 9 PM PT for all players around the world.
This means that all Xbox and PC players will be able to start preloading the game at this date and time, regardless of their region.
Preload for Monster Hunter Wilds on the PlayStation 5 starts 48 hours prior to the launch date of the game, which is at midnight, local time on February 26, 2025 for each region.

Australian East Coast | UTC+10 |
Japan | UTC+9 |
Australian West Coast | UTC+8 |
Philippines | UTC+8 |
South Africa | UTC+2 |
United Kingdom | UTC+0 |
Brazil | UTC-3 |
US | UTC-5 |
Players who bought the game on the PS5 can use this list to ascertain when the preload will become available in their repective regions. Those higher up on the list will be able to preload first.
Preloading the game after pre-ordering it allows you to play the game as soon as it available in your region.
It is recommended to preload the game due to how big some extra files can get, and avoid waiting for a long time on release. In addition, as the Day One Patch has been confirmed to be included in the preload, doing so in advance further reduces download times compared to downloading after the release of the game.
